We got the ARB awning as a present. Have a few trips planned this summer to hopefully use it. This is the test deployment in my parking garage

It was simpler than I thought. I originally was going to fork out hundreds of dollars for a roof rack. I found an old but useful post on expedition portal (http://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/63765-ARB-Awning-Install-3rd-Gen-4Runner-w-Stock-Roof-Rack).

I spent roughly $25 in hardware. You can see the M6x1.0 with washers, lock washers and a nylon lucking nut that you can't really see there. The L brackets are ARB awning mounts. Part #: OS3071. The setup is beefy. I can easily shake the truck.

Morimoto Mini D2S Stage III. Using the Apolla 2.0 flat shrouds.
Light output is pretty insane compared to the factory halogens.
