I just bought this 98 and am missing on the drivers side the rear fender trim that connects to running board. Any ideas on best resource online to find this part?

Post up a pic of your drivers side so we can see what you need. I might have what you need.

Great idea here:

Ditch the running boards and fenders since one is missing anyways, and get a set of rock sliders for about $160!

Kids can climb on them and they look good, everyone wins! And will probably be just as much work wether You bolt or weld. ;-)

First time climbing and finally got it stuck!

Spent about 6hrs out on the range today with a buddy. Yeah he drives a Liberty but it has a winch which he used a few times (once for me and twice for himself) He didn't even bother trying to make it through where I got stuck. My fan was smacking mud! I only went in that hole because I knew I could get winched out and I hadn't gotten stuck yet.








We crossed a couple creeks but this one had a big a$$ log half way across. Once over that it's nasty muck that jeep boy/camera man sunk up to his knees in. I just said "Hell I'll try it!" I think I may have made it look easy.

No water prevention mods at all yet. Snorkel is on the list and as soon as I clean her up I'm changing diff fluid and running breather lines inside the cab.

Kaiser, that's odd. What's with these jeep guys? 1st time my buddy Matt got stuck it was pretty bad. The winch was dragging me and he wasn't moving an inch. I ended up putting myself in the creek in a hole so that he had something better to pull on. The second one (attempted creek crossing) I cargo strapped the front to a sapling (closest anchor) to keep from sliding back down the hill as he winched himself out again.

Next weekend will be even better. I'll have the wheel spacers and diff breathers and there should be some more rigs. There are more vids, just waiting for Matt to post them.

does that liberty have any mods besides a winch?

The Liberty has a 3" lift which is basically the same as mine but Bilstiens on all 4, some garbage 32" tires and some nice recovery gear. I remember last year when he first bought it and did the mods he sunk it in a swamp at night and we ripped the interior completely out the next day. May have had 2kmi on it. The 4Runner wheel wells dwarf the Liberty too, just makes them look like monsters whereas you can't really even tell the Jeep is lifted. So awesome that I payed 1/10th he did for his rig and mine's much more capable.:frisky:take that!

Got the ARB installed over the weekend....

SHOULD be out testing the truck in Alabama this weekend, but not able to make the trip with the rest of the "crew".....

and some after shots straightened and installed on the '99.
