yeah i wouldnt recommend the 17's anyways. Every tire is more expensive than it would be with a 16. I'm gunna try to downsize soon.

Here is my 99 LTD 4x4 I picked up this past weekend. I had to sell my Tacoma XtraCab because the family didn't fit in there, but I think this will do just fine.

I've been lurking around here for about 3 mos. and read a lot of helpful tips.

Upgrades soon to come.

Just picked this 98 up in trade for my SAS'd 2nd gen 4runner...I need something more family oriented and streetable. I think it will fit the bill. It needs a rear bumper and bigger tires.

It is a TJM bumper w/Smittybuilt winch, Sonoran Steel 1.2 lift, Budbuilt skid/bellypan, and some other odds and ends

Performance Products springs, made by H&R. Still haven't done a measurement...but it's taller than my '99. I'd say a solid 2.5" over stock '97 suspension. It's a winner. :cheers:

Well, these are at least 2", closer to 2.5" if you ask me. Hub to fender measurement will tell the whole tale...but compare:

1999 Highlander with tall '99 coils and 1.5" rear spacers - 36" front, 37.5" rear


Both 4runners sit on 265/75R16 tires.


Pretty sure econhonda sits on 265's as well....

So what do you think about the amount of lift now?

I'm still saying it's 1".

I got 36.5" in the rear of my 1998 with subs and a rack on top.
