All youre missing is an elocker and that would be the best 4runner on the site. Hands down. Looks great man, love the duratracs, definitely my next tire.

Just picked up another 3rd gen yesterday. My first was a 2000 sport supercharged pictured below. After selling it i found out that i couldnt live without one so after looking for several months i found this 1997 limited, 4x4, 140k E-Locker, its exactly what i was looking for and this suckers clean!

What color did you use to paint your rims? I love how they turned out.

I was wondering if you'd pick up on that. I've been following your rig for awhile too, and keeping an eye out for it around town, but haven't spotted you so far. I actually used your YT build thread quite a bit in doing the ISR, AndyMod, Mudflap, Diff. Breather, etc.. Actually I just got done using the link for the ashtray mod, no more change clanking around over bumps. I liked how you had them all grouped together with the links, so it made a great quick reference.

Anyway, I'm in the S.Valley, off Bridge. I lived in the NE heights all my life, but moved down here after I'd met my wife (girlfriend back then).

I noticed you wheel the puerco out by snoopy rock, and the good old Jemez too. We should take a ride next spring. Where in Corrales are you? Closer to Rio Rancho, or Alameda?

Finally someone gets some use out of my thread! I spent way too much time on it. I havn't updated it in forever though. Yotatech wont work for me for some reason. I get a webpage error and a blank white page every time I try to load a page, if I'm logged in or not (So I at least know I didn't get banned, haha). I need to move that thread over here.

I'm right in the middle of Corrales, river side(east side) of the main road. My house is behind the elementary school. Yeah puerco is fun, don't know of very many trails there. Pretty much just that one rock, haha. Jemez is way fun though, some nice trails out by the hot springs. I havn't really seen any other guys from Abq here in a while. Just my friend with his tacoma, and we barely go wheeling anymore. We definitely need to go for a ride sometime.

Duplicolor Graphite Gray wheel coating/paint

What's interesting is that he purchased it like that, but it didn't look very good then, because the truck sat stock height with stock wheels/tires. Now it looks correct, since the rig has attitude now. (imo)

very true. that would look funny though. stock height truck with rhino lining on it would look kinda dumb. i want someone to rhino line the whole thing army green. ive seen tundras done up. very expensive

Check out this guy's site for some options near Albuquerque>>> CAPTAIN SWOOP'S NEW MEXICO 4x4 TRAIL LIBRARY: Albuquerque Area Trails . The guy's main site ( CAPTAIN SWOOP'S NEW MEXICO 4x4 TRAIL LIBRARY ) actually has links with information on trails all over the state, but many of the links have been down for over a year now for an update and I'm not sure if he's ever going to get around to updating them. Anyway, it gives you some more options close to home.

Thanks man, the wheels are actually aluminum. I thought about steelies, but I liked the beefier look of the aluminum procomps (they have a thicker cross section), and they're lighter and easier to balance.

:iagree: The rhino lining actually made me think twice about even buying it in the first place. When the seller pulled it out of the garage I went "WTF did you DO?" But now that some time has passed and I got the lift/wheels/tires it has grown on me. I've never seen another one like it, that's for sure. I've actually never seen color matched Rhino Liner before I got this 'Runner.

with lift, 3 inch front spacer and 1 inch diff drop, 2.5 inch rear spacer

nice^^ looks like a little bit of forward to rear rake but that can be fixed with some LC coils. you can probably fit those tires in there. cant wait to see it

yeah it has a slight lean but im planning on getting a bumper soon so it will level out

Herculined bumper, moved blinkers, removed rear bumper, went muddin

Got sick of sanding and painting chip spots on the new bumper so gave in and used the rest of my Herculiner to fix that problem. Chip now sombich! While at it moved blinkers to a better spot. Last weekend I installed my 1.5" rear spacers and extended brake line, much better. Removed the rear bumper and tow bar so it's not dragging ass everywhere anymore. New rear tube bumper and swing-away tire carrier to come.






And this was after a few creek baths on the way home
