hi everyone, first post here. i purchased my 4runner last month and found this site. 2002 4runner limited, stock. all ive done is remove the running boards. let me see if i know how to post a pic.

Haha ya he was standing on top of his baja rack when my friend took this.
Thanks, you can run them if you want to. All you have to do is shave a little metal off the front calipers. More meat less money and its a pretty common practice.

Well, I'm not sure that I could. You probably had the standard 12.5" discs under your stock 16" alloys. I have the 13" discs, because of the sport package. That .5" might make a difference.....
(Also, this is just based on the window sticker from my rig. It says, plain as day, "13 inch Disc Brakes" under the Sport Package features). Whether or not they are actually any bigger than the regular 16" wheel brakes (12.5" supposedly) is kind of up in the air....)

Limited 4runner models have the 13" as well. I also know for a face mine are 13". Just look into it. I have a past thread you can look into also.

I got 7,000mi on em now and they're wearing great. Only regret is that they're not 35's! These things are beasts especially with 10psi in em. I run 40psi on the road, noise is minimal and handling is good.

They're perfect for an on/off road tire. Not as radical as say a Super Swamper, but plenty of tread to dig in deep and sling the mud out. As for crawling, I don't think they were designed specifically for it but they damn sure do a good job.
If you're interested, I'd like to sell these and use the $ toward 35's. Interested?

when I first got it about 2 years ago..and the difference now. Thanks to this site and the people here for the modifications that I did. No engine mods yet as I am mechanically declined haha; but the deck plate mod shouldn't be too bad and I will start with that as soon as I receive my deck plate in the mail. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, but its something...

X2 do you plan on painting the chrome bumpers as well?
i like the idea of painting the chrome wheel well strips instead of removing, gives you a nice little flare

Thanks! I ended up painting them because I didn't know how to remove them, and it worked out pretty well haha. Yea, I'd like to paint the bumpers but I'm kinda scared. If I do I'll have to sand the hell out of it first. I'm worried the paint might chip off down the road. Maybe I can fit some 99 bumpers on it. I've seen those stock black and it looks pretty good. Hopefully in a few weeks. After the deck plate mod!:biggrin2:

I got a chance to test out the bighorns this past weekend, when my buddy got his Trooper with a 2" OME lift and 255/85 BFG KM's got completely high centered at the end of a 150ft flooded trail. I failed to get enough traction in the 18 inches of water/mud to move him, However I got to pull out my first Jeep and bronco who failed at even getting into where he was.:naughty:
I dont have any pics from the trail but here are some after math shot from my GF's parking lot.
I can get the pics of were he got stuck if anyone is interested.
It messed up my steam cleaned engine bay, but 1 hour with a pressure washer got the car totally mud free.
