My Former 1999 Highlander

Here are a few pictures I found of my 1999 Highlander which made me fall in love with 4Runners. I didn't know about this forum when I had it, maybe that's a good thing or I would have modded it and probably never have sold it. I found this forum after buying my 4th gen cause I just had to lift it to match the stock height of the 1999. I also would have taken the running boards off had I found t4r.org earlier.

I would LOOVE some suggestions on some easy mods to make it look nicer inside or out. (i like lighting mods )

First of all make a signature so we know what you got. But street or off road (since you like light mods) I'd get an HID kit from DDM Tuning. Lots of folks on here have em. I have 35W 6000K kit for my Headlights and fogs.

If you're 4x4 put some dirt on it, if not, trade it for one!:lol:

WTF man!? You have a 2WD and you do more off roading than most of the 4x4 guys! Nice rig sir. If you hadn't said that it was 2wd I wouldn't have looked twice for CV's. You are an inspiration for those with nice clean, no dent havin, waxed up, mall crawlin, never seen dirt new lookin 4Runners out there. Wish we had more like you around here.

You have no idea how happy that comment made me! I try and am honestly impressed with what the vehicle can do with open diff 2wd.

Also figured I would add some pictures from the T4R meet up at Uwharrie this past weekend. Turn out was not as grand as expected but we had a great time even though FlexinNC's 4runner was taken out of commision with a busted front axle and bent rear drive shaft. Me and YcRunner still had fun

Thanks for the input. i dont think i want to spend quite that much just for some headlights although it would look amazing. for now im sticking with the 6 dollar white headlights lol. and i do have a 4x4 but dont really got mudding or offroading often. the first time i did was last weekend when my friend with a little blazer got stuck in the mud and called me up to get him out. it was fun in the mud and im hooked now. now i just need to gather some friends to go with me. cant wait to get my 4runner dirty!

Thanks! I have thought about it, and know a couple people who even have all the parts I need. I just don't exactly have the cash to buy the parts at the time being. It would be really cool to do in the future though!

It's like $50ish a kit shipped. That's less than a pair of Silverstars and 10X better.

Truck has been down for 2 weeks and I finally got it rollin. Decided to hit some easy trails to get out and joy ride.

and yes, I know.. I really need to fab my ARB brackets to bring it up.
