looks sweet derekabraham! how many miles do you have on the km2's? how many you think you'll get outta them? really want some when i get 33's this summer.

They have somewhere around 30,000 miles. They've got a couple thousand left, but I'll be replacing them soon. I absolutely love them.

Definitely getting it fixed up asap. It looks pretty easy to repair, too. Happened on a Saturday evening. Both my insurance and the other guys are closed until Monday. You can't tell, by the glare of the mustangs' parking lights, but the red plastic lens was broken up and he was pulling broken pieces out of it.

I think all I need is a bumper, drivers' side bumper support/mount, turn/headlight/parking light, and play with the olive green bumper filler green painted piece I painted last month...and a bit of the fender under the parking light. Hell, I could do all of that.

Glad to hear you can do the work yourself! You'll save yourself alot of money! Sure you could put a claim in....but then your Insurance rates will go up!

I did a similar repair on mine last spring.....I'd post some pics...but my computer is having a brain fart today.....and won't let me access my Photobucket account at the same time as I'm in here.....

not all armadas are 4wd, and even if that one was, if the runner has a locker or dual lockers then it stands no chance. power is not the key here, its the ability to put what power you have to the ground and gearing. CAT loaders and or other pieces of equipment(excluding track vehicles -they are hydraulically driven) dont have hi powered motors, but they have gearing, and that is what does the work

From the looks of it, that battle was more about traction. Seems those Duratrac's were a might grippier than whatever street tires the Armada was wearing. He could have drug the Armada with all four of it's wheels locked. But if he locked the 4runners brakes up, I bet the Armada would have just spun out trying to pull him.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the Armada driver wasn't in low range? Im pretty sure I saw his front tires spin once, so i think he was in 4wd. Either way that's fun.

I had some roommates in college that got in a pissing match and did the same thing with an Armada and a F-150 Harley Davidson edition. The Armada drug that Ford around like it was in neutral. They also did it on our gravel driveway/road so they were pelting each other with rocks. Needless to say they weren't the brightest bunch.

I can't tell you guys how badly I want to sell my taco and get a third gen. When I was five I saw a Toyota commercial with a green 3rd gen romping through some mud and I've wanted one ever since. Just saw a clean green lifted runner with meats on it and its sparked my desire again :/.

This is not my 4Runner, and I do not have any affiliation with the guy who does the "New Mexico Backroads" blog. I just stumbled upon this link and his website recently and have been spending a ton of time rummaging through his journals and photos.
