soo...had nice lil view of my runner at work today so i decided to snap a random pic
went in the shop and came out and found this!!!!!
made me look so small...and then SHE came out..told me She built it herself...and ran fordyce and rubicon... made me look like i was on training wheels

Assembling the freshly painted parts right now for the new grill.
Instead of going the full Satoshi route, I decide to do wire mesh on top and bottom and keep the original emblem.
I was actually thinking about doing it like that. I'm curious to see what it looks like on your 4runner.

Here is the finished color of the front valance/fascia under the metal bumper.
I had to get new mounting hardware because these original 14 year-old pieces needed replacement:
These are the parts I used to replace the old. I got them from 'Lowes' for approximately a dollar a piece....then a military discount took a few dollars off.
...And the bolts that fit the metal brackets:
Now I have to take off my metal upper bumper and mate the two (lower valance and bumper) to make sure they fit (the original bumper was bent in the fender-bender a month back) and drill the holes in the bumper to 5/16". The original holes were to small to fit the new hardware. I drilled the lower valance holes to 5/16" also.
Before I mate the two, I'll need to paint the metal bumper. The shade of the valance and bumper are off a little bit.

Today I just the opposite, put on the old style and took off the fatlip. I think ima try and do old bumper+fatlip valance. That or use 96 mounts and cut off the back section of bumper.
I prefer the fatlip from the front, but not every other angle. I kinda like chrome on desert dune.
I think it comes down to darker colors look better painted, lighter colors look ok with chrome.

I like it. I'm not a big fan of the complete satoshi mod. But I do like the look of this because it's subtle.

Can you take a picture not in a shadow so we can see the mesh? I have a satoshi being made for me but I'm not 100% sold on it.

How did you got the two parts of the dash apart? How did you get it together?Haha you went way further than I did on my original interior recolor. You just need one more piece done...

It's such hard work to do so. Now that my current 3rd gen is my project again I'm going down this road after I finish the lift and repaint of the exterior!
I want to know because the vinyl part of my dash is getting separated from the main dash, and I want to get it together again.
