Earlier this year I put 4th Gen Sport rims on my '97. I really like the 4th Gen rims, but they just arn't suited for a 3rd Gen. In order to make them fit right (shallower offset), I had to put much smaller tires on. The smaller tires, along with the shallower offset made for a not so good look.

I was FINALLY able to pick up a set of factory 4Runner rims. They're hard to find around here. Painted them up last week, and got them mounted on some bigger tires. Now my 4Runner looks like a REAL 4Runner. Super happy about how it looks now.

Yeah, I thought of that several times. Spacers are not very cheap. Plus there seems to be a 50-50 split on whether they're safe or not.

I've been loving the look of blacked out factory rims for some time though - and I think they make my rig look awesome!! I think I'm going to black out my bumpers and grill this summer too. Rear bumper has rusty corners though - so I may need to get replacments.

I'm really happy how it turned out. Took me no time to do and I just did it cause I wanted more clearance when approaching obstacles like rocks etc. It actually does look way better than stock too!

Distributing Red Cross donations to flood affected comunities

Local offroad clubs volunteered to the task of distributing Red Cross donations to flood affected comunities. Anybody with a 4x4 would help. These are just a few pictures that I took, on URBAN area, where I helped. Other brave fellows with better prepared rigs went on to help isolated comunities, taking donations, bringing back to hospital people that needed medical attention, pulling out stuck trucks, buses, and doing anything else they could do.
