There is a nice off-roading park within an hour drive of Houston...it is filled with all sorts of obstacles and rockledges...we can really test my "minivan" vs. your mighty 4runner. :hungry:

and i never said my 3rd gen was fragile, do you have any reading comprehension skills? you know like graduated 4th grade?
if you would have graduated from 4th grade you would be able to tell i made no comments as to the pro's or con's of either vehicle, and thus is applied to durability,which is what your implying from your previous post.
i can't say which one is more fragile as for the 51st time "it's to soon to tell"
look i can't help it if your were dropped on your head as a small child, think mini vans are cool and never graduated the 4th grade. i can't help that
so from here on i'm just ignoring you in this thread unless you can put a complete thought together and actually have a decent argument against "too soon to tell" .

I asked, you deferred due to equipment not being stock, I told you that's fine, I'd still be down for a run... and then I went and got a Coke. Up until this point, you have been arguing paper claims with Thai. My intent was to give you a chance to see if my TE holds up to the claims, not go bashing our trucks into trees and ripping up the undercarriage on rocks. I've got no problem with saying "Nope, can't do that without getting FUBAR'd, I'll pass" if I think I am risking damage to my stock 4Runner.
It was an invitation, not a challenge. In another 12 years, when you get to be my age, maybe you'll pay more attention to what is written and less to what you *think* I am saying.

I dont know what your based this off of, i know plenty, IIRC your the one who has been wrong throughout this thread and the last, each time not admitting it, and each time coming back with an offense and ignoring the comments that we call you out on. WIth that said idk how his driving skill are but rallying is quite possibly the easiest way to roll a car, it takes a lot more skill than you have. So i can only assume you being wrong about my lack of knowledge and that you dont have much knowledge (all you do is pull shit from brochures), that you are projecting your bad qualities on us, so you must be an idiot who can't drive well.

it would be sweet to meet up and go on a trail ride but like i said i'm doing to compete,prove, or any of that to anyone.
i know what my truck was before i bought it, as it has been proven, i'm not going to try and do anything with it except wash board roads and logging roads till i get good armor and have it set up for rated trails.
if your an intelligent person you can see the point i'm making here, i work hard for my toys and i take good care of them. it will do what i want it to do when it's ready, thank you that is all on the matter.

you are right i did possibly misread the intentions of your post, and i fully apologize for the name calling, i must have miss understood the context of the statement, as in there was none, you were just saying what you were saying as opposed to saying it in the context of thread, again sorry for that.

Jesus, I thought that this would be an interesting "competition" yet it's spiraled out of control thanks to stupid internet banter. If I lived in CO I'd be un installing all the parts I have put on and gone up against a 5th gen by now just to shut everyone up, lol. To the one lowly 5th gen owner who still frequents this thread, I say, with the utmost respect, sack up and take your truck off road. Not onto some grass. You can't grovel/ agree with Thai about a( in this case, your) newer vehicle having superior off road capabilities (comapred to a 3rd gen) and then not even be willing to take it to a location that will actually be challenging. No point in a competition if the contestants can opt out of a trail that a stock vehicle in the group would/could do. I understand not wanting to "blemish" your new vehicle, but at some point or another, you'll dent a fender or rip off a sid plate (that is, if you actually do any off roading). I've ripped off mud flaps, fender flarers, scraped up the sides of my car, ripped off two front bumpers, destroyed 2 CV's and a LCA while offroading, in the 2 or so years I have been modifying my 4Runner. Was I anticipating these things to occur? Nope, no one is really, because shit happens. Shut up and wheel already:reddance::reddance:
