4 Runner Auto Trans

Hi;

I have a 95 4Runner 2WD with a bad automatic transmission. Will a automatic trans out of a 95 4 Runner w/ 4WD work? I am hoping they are the same minus the transfer case.

I think the output on the 4WD transmission is different, to account for the transfer case. Don't quote me on that, but definitely put some eyeballs on it before you buy it.

What's wrong with the tranny? Before you go thru all the work make sure it isn't just a solenoid replacement. Less than $200 and about 2 hours worth of work.....

You posted this same question, including the lack of info like what engine, on other forums.

If the trans is for the same engine, it will bolt up.
But that's all.
If you have the trans with t-case and driveshaft you could make that work (the x-member and harness would probably be needed too).
It would take some work, but could be done.
