4 Runners Hold their Own !!!

i gotta ask , how does it keep up with the FJ's ?

Seriously ??? Its the same Fookin thing except a 3" longer wheelbase ...
It goes anywhere a Fj , Tacoma goes.Sometimes More depending on whos Driving the Fj or Tacoma !
Just add an OME Lift and Some Bumpers For Max clearance and Your good to go .

Front Up before going into a small Hole / Pics never do Justice

These are the Bfg Mud terrain KM2 / Not the regular Mud terrain the tread blocks are different and they are pretty quiet for what they are / they are Soft and wont provide the Mileage as say the All terrain Radials do .I went with a 255/85/16 instead of a 265/75/16 Ive found ( In my Opinion ) the 4 runner prefers tall /skinny vs. a wider say 285 tire the Atrac Seems to work better without the Wider rotating mass. the reasons I get stuck are not due to tire width !! Also I air down to say 15-18 psi when wheeling ( which I do ALOT of ) and the 85 Profile is actually a 33" tire as well. Mileage takes a Hit with the taller tire But I could care less about that. But they Stick very well on rocks etc.

I've not heard this argument for tall and skinny, any other (than improved Atrac) reasons why you prefer it?

Nice 4R, btw.

Thanks, I do have the KM2 on my Jeep. I also air down but on the 4runner only to around 23 (just never tried lower yet) but on my Jeep I run 15. My 4runner tires are smaller than yours, 265/70/17. Maybe one day my 4runner will be as bad as yours.

No argument...Just my personal preferance/ observation from using the different tire sizes. Iprefer it for Just that what I perceive to be better atrac function.
