450 watt margarita machine on inverter?

My LE rear inverter is only 400 watts. My margarita machine has a 450 watt motor. Is it worth trying, or am I just going to be replacing a fuse if I do?

That's not good. Some appliances/tools, such as ones with a motor, require an initial surge of power to start up ("starting load" or "peak load"). Once started, the tool or appliance requires less power to continue to operate ("continuous load").

I doubt that it says in the manual how this machine uses 450 watts, maybe in reality it uses less than that and you might be fine. But I wouldn't plug it in because if fuse survives chances are that inverter gets too hot or motor won't get enough power and burns out prematurely.

I believe the "draw down" would depend on how jammed with ice it may be at the start. If you present a considerable initial load it may be problematic but keep it light and maybe try pulsing it initially.
If it were me and I had good Tequilla - I'd try it!
Assuming good tequilla, the outcome will be painless either way.

Start it empty, then pour what you need in. You'll probably be under 400. You can get a meter and test it, because what's on the data plate is usually just an estimate.
