$46 CV Axles from RockAuto?

Just like the title says I see that RockAuto has the Cardone axles new, not reman, for $46 no core but the EMPI's are $92 and the reman Cardone's are $97. What am I missing, this looks wrong. Why only $46? Has any one used the Cardone axles? Any good or junk? I have OME lift with front diff drop, current axles are flinging grease all over, I would rather just swap em out and be done. Any input is appreciated.

Did your oem boot clamps fail, shooting grease in the wheel wells? I just re-clamped the boot to the axle with hose clamps. Fixed the leak and been golden for couple thousand miles. $6 fix.

Yeah, no cracks that I can see in the boots. I'm just not sure how long this has been going on, concerned with amount/contamination of remaining grease in there. At $95-$100 a piece it's not that expensive and I'd feel good knowing there are new ones in there on our road trips. This is my wife's daily driver as well so I don't want her having issues, rather be proactive.

I have used rockauto Cardone CVs on my 89 Camry and liked them. I have about 20k on them so far and all is well. They ran about 42 w/ no core charge. When/If I need CV's for the 4runner I will be using the ones form RA.

BTW after my lift the outer boots started tossing grease, with no rips in the boot. I did the hose clamp mod and everything has been good since.

I'm gonna give em a whirl and put different clamps on before install. $46 buck each ain't bad.

I installed them on a Tundra. 12k so far. seem fine.

Cool, thanks for the replies. Sounds like I'll be ordering these tomorrow. It just seem like $46 was low, but that is low enough to give em a try.
