4H Difference in '04 and '16 SR5 4WD

No worries. I just wanted him to understand there are a lot of differences between the 4WD on the different models of 4Runners.

Thanks for the input but just so you know this engineer first drove in the sand at Hatteras as a young boy in about 1948 or '49 in a surplus WWII Jeep. Been thru many Jeeps, Jimmys and now on my 3rd 4Runner.

Never been stuck in all the following years, but have used my foxhole shovel on occasion.

BTW I should have been more specific that I use 4LO in deep soft stuff, particularly on steep ramp inclines, and do stick with 4HI in D otherwise.

OBTW did search and then just wanted to get some more input on A-Trac.

Sorry again that I seem to have dented your 304 stainless jock strap. Just kidding.

Dude your questions on the forum over the past few days have been common knowledge questions. I only have what you write in the forum to determine your knowledge base and I tailored my response to your perceived experience based on those posts. I'll make sure in the future to assume you know everything and won't bother posting in your threads.

But common sense says if I knew everything, then I wouldn't ask.

Also doing numerous additional advanced searches I finally found a thread with about 3 posts out of maybe a hundred that addressed A-Trac use in sand with just one on deep soft sand. Everything else I got was for snow, mud, rock climbing. So I guess it all depends on the meaning of "common knowledge".
