4runner 2006 factory skid plate

I just got back from picking up my stuff at Partznet. He showed me what he pays for the skid plate ($95) and said at best he could probably do $10 over that for a group buy. That is only $5 less than the $110.20 he quoted me before so I don't think it is worth it. If we get confirmation that it fits I think I'll just buy mine at the normal price, which is still pretty darn good.



EDIT: after looking at my previous post I saw that he quoted me at $113.10 but when I went there today he said $110.20. Just wanted to post that so there wasn't any confusion about the prices I listed.

Just to let everyone know... this skid plate.. works on the following models.

Toyota 4runner 2003-2006. (v6 or v8)

The question is if it works with brush guards or bull bars?

It sounds like the '06 skid plate uses the same holes that a lot of the brush guards and bull bars use. I'm completely sure on that but it does make sense.
 
Well --- since we have confirmation that it will fit all 4th gens just fine .... where can we get a good deal on a group buy?

If you can get it cheaper than the $110 Partznet quoted me than I'm in. As I said in a previous post the skid plate costs them $95 so I don't think you will find it much cheaper. And for me I don't have to pay shipping at Partznet, I just stop by there at lunch.:D
 
Yeah --- if it costs them $95 then we are going to have a rough time finding it much cheaper ....

If someone had a pic of one of these installed on Titanium Metallic, that would be awesome.
 
I just ordered one from Partznet. They quoted me 115.20.
PT212-89060 is the correct part #.

I know toybox said he was quoted 110. & 113. my asswipe stealer quoted me 178., so I'm happy.

Partznet has different customer price structures. I have pressed them once or twice to get the best price. Now I don't even have to press them about it and I get the best price as far as I can tell.

If anyone has any pic's of it installed I'd love to see them before I order.

Toyota03, use the part number in this thread when you call them.

Just ordered the skid plate from Patznet for $113 + shipping (estimated at $15). I am a repeat customer FWIW.
 
Gromulus - I see that you have the Jaos center protector. Does this mount to the two holes that the skid plate mounts to? If so, you may be one of the first to try to figure out how to mount these together.
 
Just to clarify... the part manager said, this skid plate is just for look... not for off-road purpose, is that right?

No, the JAOS unit mounts further forward, closer to the radiator. This skid plate look like it mounts further back, where the tow hooks are welded on (two holes, one being threaded).

I am wondering if the plate itself will intefere with the center bars of the JAOS unit.
