4Runner broken into...

Well I got my money from insurance. Looks like it'll be enough to fix both cars back to my standards as well as get some Christmas shopping done! Currently everything is on order either through toyota or ebay. Had to hit up a junkyard today for the bezel for the wife's car but I saved a good bit of money by doing so. Right now I'm just looking forward to getting these cars back together.

By the way. We got the window put in her car on Friday. Mine was supposed to be done that day also, but when they got it in the shop they realized the 4Runner had bronze tinted glass as opposed to the more common green tinted glass. They had to special order the window and its getting done tuesday morning.

The window place kept calling my car either a highlander!
 
When I lived in the ghetto I got my car broken into so many times I just started leaving the keys to remove the stereo in the cup holder compartment. I got my dash ripped apart and barely got it back together really big pain in the ass. Never spend more than 70-80 for a stereo now, and I just left my factory in the 4runner.

Does anyone have one of those stereos where the faceplate turns backwards when you shut off the car?

Pretty much get in trouble for shooting someone if your not in immediate danger. I don't agree with it but it happens. I know a instructor for concealed handgun liscenses and he said if you are traveling; it is better to carry some good pepper spray. If someone tries to jack you, spray them and then take them to the ground and wail on them and beat the $hit out of them. You get satisfaction and avoid pretty much any legal mess.

Well, in Alabama its pretty much legal to shoot someone breaking into your car.
 
Yeah I'm sure it will vary state to state. I think I'd feel horrible if I killed someone over material things that could be replaced. Your taking someones son or daughter, grandson or grandchild away.
 
Well that was supposed to be a joke. But theres no good reason for breaking into someones car. I wouldn't think twice if they were in my house though.
 
hell yeah if they are in ur house the same time as you well then i'm not gonna wait and iff if they intend bodily harm or not. I am going to inflict bodily harm on the perp with .40 cal of your not welcome here.

Do the basics:

Hide ur stuff

Don't advertise what u got (not everyone at the stoplight wants to hear ur shit)

Lock it

Park in well lit areas if possible

Make sure u have good insurance coverage incase the above doesnt work

shame that we have to take these precautions. I was in Jpan over the summer and to totally honest with you guys, I have never felt so safe in my life. it appears that people there have something about them called respect basically if it aint yours dont touch it( Cept my GF's Ass she got pinched on the train and for a change it wernt me either, Someone needed a lesson in manners but i could not figure out who)

I saw very expensive bicycles left outside unlocked and everything.... maybe i was in a REAL good area...
 
I have family from Japan. Apparently the people there are very respectful. Spitting gum on a sidewalk or street makes you look like a caveman. Making your community a dirty place is considered very disrespectful and shockingly rude.

Well good for you... I love to travel. I hate to travel the same place - but i'm making the exception.. I have a thing for asian culture, but i had no idea that i would fall so hard(ok i met someone there too)when i got there...

I'm not normally a slob either but i found myself watching everything i did.. people take their garbage with them because there are not many -if any CANS on the street , but there are 2 guys who run after people dressed like cops who will urge you to throw out your Cig Butts when in a NON smoking are
My Knuckles dont touch the ground just yet and i dont have a uni-brow either.. so i guess i'm safe.

I did see some Asians spitting on the street actually one was a woman! but i only saw it twice if that were NY hell i've seen that in the library!
But it is a very clean place....

Ruger MK1, but it is rare because it is a red dragon on the left hand grip

well we were cleaning and invantorythat night, since then 2 more SW .357 magnum and a benelli scattergun
 
my first s&w .357 was a 686 , took with me when i was deer hunting.... but then i realized that it was foolish to be in the woods with a 4' barrel
Not many bears when i hunt but you never know. I hunt from a stand now.I just hope i run into a bear who forgot how to climb trees
 
yea we go to the range and shoot, but me and my dad cary them on us when we go flyfishing(few years back he came across a rattle snake and scared him so bad) and other camping trips, just for crazy rednecks who come our way.
 
crazy redneck huh? hahaha welp i hope i dont run into any of them! never got in FF. I did try it... but i'm no good at it i went back to bass fishin..snakes huh? ain't too crazy bout them either! although they are delicious!
 
i have had no luck in posting pics here... if you want i'll send you some pics just drop me your email address... I love the exhaust. the first one i had TRD replaced for me for free because of rust. this one is better i like it!!

the light's are cool too... I'll snap a photo of them and send them to you..
