hmmmm im going to vote that this doesnt count. it seems to me like that sign could have been altered, or made up....

also, its inaccurate... the first known use of "dirt" dates back to the 13th century... (yes i actually googled it.... slow day)

BUT if we are talking about that specific pile of "dirt" you might have a chance at taking this one.

I was just thinking that. I was there couple weeks ago. Don't remember any signs with year on them. Pretty far drive for me so ill just wait for next challenge.

tombstone is a good hour and a half away... and im currently in willcox for work (but took the company car... ) so i have to drive 90 miles just to get back to tucson, then grab the 4runner and drive out to tombstone? itll be 4 challenges later by the time i even get to tombstone haha.

I used to live in Tucson (miss it), I am now in Alaska and I think everything prior to 1970 melted.

I look for the next challenge...I like this thread.

I think exif data needs to be used if we are going to strictly enforce the after rules.

You could, in theory, but exif data can be easily scrubbed.

I just took a pic to complete this challenge. I'm still at work and my phone won't let me upload to the site so have to wait until I get home. Just a hint go to te courthouse in your town most of them are very old

If we want to be strict to the rules, I think the best and easiest thing that shows legitimacy would be to have like a hobo sign (cardboard and a marker) and write your T4R.org username along with the days date! Because I am pretty sure you would not date something for the future! :shrug:
