I was about seven cars back from one of those rolling roadblocks coming back from the mountains today. The name on it was "Imagine". I kept thinking "Imagine using the G.D. slow-moving vehicle pullout". It never did, of course. :mad2:Next up, your machine with a camper / RV name. I want the stupid / ironic name on the back of it.
I hate RVs and find the model names to generally be the opposite of what the stupid things are... "Bullet", no slow AF... "Stealth", not with that generator running 24/7 dude... "Panther", no.... some examples:

I'll leave the challenge the same so that someone in their 4Runner can get a shot of one. As MeefZah later modified the challenge, non-ironic names are OK too.

Geez. I drove to the post office and saw four highway behemoths parked on city streets. Here are three of them. Crazy ass names. Evo, View, Rezerve.

There is no glamour here, just some goofball with a COVID mask.
Next challenge: Your 4Runner/other awesome vehicle next to a questionable monument, statue or other commemoration that may be considered controversial. Here in Tennessee we have lots of Confederate holdover statues that probably shouldn't be, though not wanting to get political. Just a pic with something and why it may be considered controversial.

So I took this picture yesterday. I wasn't super happy with how it came out, but the sun was in the wrong place in the sky and I was illegally parked (far left)... I wasn't going to post it... but it seems the challenge is not getting met and we are coming up on the reset so here you go:
This is also not exactly the challenge. It's kind of the post-challenge.
There was, until about a year ago, a statue of William McKinley in the city square of Arcata. See the black and white image of the square. McKinley, if you failed 7th grade American History, was a US president and he was one of only a very small number of presidents to be assassinated in office. He did some good in his 3+ years in office, but... a certain vocal minority in the community apparently decided that he was a big ol' racist and felt that removing the statue would make everyone feel a whole lot better about events of 150 years ago. So down it came. It made national news because that was before angry crowds started pulling down statues of Gandhi with tractors. Now, of course, every ******* with a grievance about how shit went down two centuries ago has found a soapbox and an audience of insipid fools; but then it was pretty much unheard of.
Related: the large 3 story building directly above Bill's head in the b&w image is the Jacoby Storehouse. When natives would attack white settlers, the town women and children would take refuge and defensive positions inside. A plaque attached to the building was also taken down at the same time as the statue was removed... the plaque made a reference to "Indian troubles", which lit some people's hair on fire with sheer rage. Down it came.
If you can't tell, I think this trend is bullshit. And I'm not a conservative.

Tercel?! Love it! I had a Tercel wagon for a while. Called it the Brown Brick. Total chick magnet.Look like a Stomper!! I always thought they were disproportionately short.

Yeah, it’s hard to get any good star photos anywhere near a city. Or even see anything so faint. I was hoping someone had the location and gear to catch it.

We have cloud cover / fog pretty much every night here. We've had one really clear night that I could see it, but I couldn't get a photo.

Well I'll take that with a reset of the "local landmark " from the rules on p.1. Taken on the way home from 'yakkin today.
Bertas Ranch Bridge, 1936. One of only 3 covered bridges in Humboldt Co and one of only 10 "real " ones left in the state.

Here's a couple a bit older than 1936. First up is James White Fort, built in 1786 and is the birthplace of Knoxville, TN and it was the capital of the Southwest Territory in 1790. The next, slightly newer, place is the Ramsey House, built whenever that sign says and constructed with blue limestone and Tennessee pink marble, which is in the ground all over that area and, why the area is still called Marbledale.
Next up: Your off-road capable transport device with an old forgotten or dilapidated structure that was important in its day. Let us know a little background.

This is "Old Dock B" on Humboldt Bay, Eureka, Calif (in the foreground). In the background through the fog is the still-in-use Manila Pulp Mill.
Old Dock B was originally built for the logging trade, to load Humboldt lumber onto ships bound for SF or Portland, circa 1850-1899. It has been rebuilt a few times since then. I don't have exact dates on anything - hard to find a lot of info on it. It fell into disuse as the industry sagged, and was eventually abandoned. It remains, solid-ish - you can walk on parts of it - but slowly rotting into the salt water. Every so often the Coast Guard plucks a tourist or troglodyte (local term for homeless) out of the bay after they went around the barrier and fell through a really rotten part.

Examples might include a sign saying "in business since 1945", a sign saying "100 years of service", a police car door saying "Serving since 1895", a banner saying "Jackson County Fair 1898 - 2020", etc. You get the idea.
