4Runner photo game

I’m gonna claim the Atlas Obscura Challenge. Although I had to do a drive by photo thru the window since there no parking along the street.

To keep the game rolling I'm going with this pic of my 4Runner lurking in the bushes and the Harley at my rental house. I do want to give my tenant their privacy.

We all do. They pass one out with our birth certificate and then we just add more as we get older.. It's funny you mention it though because yesterday I bought a little .22 revolver so I had something that could shoot birdshot. Birdshot is handy for a bad snake (copperhead for example) hanging too close to the house or a stray dog that may not take a hint. Just to be clear, I don't go around shooting snakes and I protect most of them (even poisonous ones), moving them out of the road and such.

But, as I was taking the gun box out of the truck he came by to let me know he was going to mow the yard. We talked about revolvers and he brought his .22 and .44 Mag outside to show me. :gun6:

When I lived in a rural area in another state I had several guns for shooting and hunting. I’ve never owned a handgun but I’d like to get one. Now that I’m in an urban area in CA as you know it’s a big PIA.
I feel the same as you about snakes. When others run away I get closer to take photos. :thumb3:

I'd be interested in hearing your results with .22 shotshells from a pistol. From a rifle it spreads out so much at 5 yards it is easy to miss a varmint. I thought about buying a cheap .410 single to use with bird shot, but man .410 shells are expensive for what you get.

.22 birdshot in a pistol 6” barrel is good from 0-20’. I have shot European hornets and cicada killers flying around the yard at 10-20 feet with a pistol. A rat at about 15’ one time. A .410 is great but overkill for my purposes.

I haven't started my truck in 2 weeks except a week ago I drove it from the garage into the driveway to wash it and then backed it into the garage again...

Yeah, very few miles for me too.
Hunkered down to avoid smoke. Doing some routine maintenance but I’ll take a ride later for supplies and look for the road sign.

That’s a really cool pic. I had to look at it for a while to figure out what was going on. The hazard sign makes it.
