Given the number of threads on "How much should I pay?", would it make sense to start a sticky? Post your price before tax and title, since those will vary based on local. Mine...

Massachusetts
2012 Limited, white on black, mud flaps, nav, all weather mats. No 3rd row, no sliding tray, no RB, none of the other goofy dealer installed options. Price: $39,700 before tax, title, bs dealership fees. $42,500 on the road. Had to get it special ordered. Other dealerships wouldn't talk to me below $42k + TTL.

Where/What did you pay?

2011 Trail, Salsa Red, carpet floor mats, first aid kit, wheel locks thrown in for free, non kdss :(, purchased end of Dec '11 during the last week of the Toyotathon sales pitch...paid $34,150 before tax, title, fees...suckered into extended warranty for an addition $1200 but dealer added in remote start with warranty. Truecar valued it at $34,200 before the taxes and fees. "Good" experience buying a new car at a dealership.

Hey Rock, which LI dealer did you use? I'm also from LI and got mine from Huntington Toyota.

I got my 12 LE with toyota mats throughout, etched security windows, color coded door edge guards, nav, blah blah blah all the other stuff that comes with the LE for $40,750 OTD including all the taxes, doc fees and I got a 90 day temp tag.

I went there to test drive a year before I purchased it. I found the sales dept rude, more so than the typical dealership. I had looked at their inventory online, found the VIN number and went there with the price they had listed on their site. Refused to give it to me for that price. A year later I looked over at Westbury Toyota, they had one in stock, beat truecar.com price, and we're super cool. I bought mine Dec 26th, so I caught the tail end of the Toyoathon sale and pretty much the first thing the salesman said it was end of month, end of year, I gotta move cars, I'll make you a good deal. How was Huntington?

They weren't too bad. Worked with me on the price. They were reluctant to swap with another dealer to get the color I wanted, kept pushing a 2010 limited demo model. After going back and forth they finally got me what I wanted. One problem I had, and I can't fully blame them, was them returning my leased jeep. That was a two week hassle. Other than that all went well

Ok we have NY & Mass covered!

I had a 2007 GMC Sierra SLE quad cab 4 wheel drive with 55000 miles on and they gave me $17000 for my trade if that helps

I bought a 2011 SR5 in Sept 2011. Negotiated with 3 local dealers in Charleston WV and also a dealer in South Carolina (I was going there on vacation) after about a month of negotiating I got the cash price down to $34,200. The sticker was $36,100 for my SR5 blizzard pearl with sunroof, backup camera, bluetooth, xm, carpet floor mats, 4wheel drive, power seats, theft-engine immobilizer, cargo crossbars. I was dissapointed that I could not get the deal that others on this forum were getting, and I feel I am a decent negotiator. I guess my local market dictated what I was going to pay, and in the end, I am happy with the car and purchase. The local dealers were willing to turn me away because someone else was going to buy it soon enough for what they were asking. I did end up trading after my cash negotiations and got $17,000 trade for my 06 Lexus RX400H with 99,000 miles.

Are you guys including the non-negotiable fees (regional ad fee and destination) in your pricing? I think destination is pretty standard but the regional ad fees vary from $600 to $1100 or so depending on your respective region.

I just bought a 2012 SR5 4WD in Blizzard Pearl/Graphite with convenience (moonroof etc), cargo deck, and all weather mats packages. I also had leather, upgraded alarm, mud guards, and a cargo cover added at the port.

Price: $33,670
Southeast Ad Fee: $1,102
Destination: $810

I left a little profit in it but am fairly happy with the purchase. :frog: My trade did not affect my price.

I just paid $37,500 for my 2012 Shoreline Blue TE w/ KDSS. Only other option was the all weather floor mats. That price includes all dealer fees, but no tax.

Prices for 4 RUNNERS

One of the above stated he guessed it was dictated by local market. That is the key on all auto dealers. They will hold out for what the market will bear. Buying one is New York for instance does not compare with buying one in Kansas. Also, those dealers doing business in the Southeast part of the country are a total market all together. The markets in that area are somewhat controlled due to the pricing strategies of the SE distributors, plus they do add ons that are not done in some other parts of the country. It also has to to with the time of the year and the time of the month. The end of the month can be better if the local dealer is not meeting his goals and needs to move some cars.

I'm in the process of buying a 2012 SR5 4WD in Black/Graphite cloth with convenience package (moonroof, 110 outlets), running boards, cargo net, mud flaps, vehicle shield package (paint sealer and scotch guard carpet and seats). Adding cargo cover from parts department at 15% off/discount so $128 extra.

Out the door cost is $34,500

Oklahoma Tags & Taxes aren't done at the dealership but rather the tag office within 30 days. $91 for the tag and $1,009 taxes total $1,200

They tried to find one like this but couldn't so I had to bassically order it. They called Saturday and it will be at port on May 5 and should be here to pick up May 9 or 10.

As if we needed more proof that the Limited is the best. I mean, it would not cost more if it wasn't.....right? :hiding:

Seriously, its interesting (and makes sense) that they don't offer the lower rates for the more popular SRS. Looks like 1E was right...again.

Philly, if the Limited's are so good, why did you try to turn yours into a Trail with new bumpers and a locker?

Next you will be installing those SRS badges as well.:moon:
