Just got this in at my dealership. Basically an SR5 Premium 4x4 with port installed accessories.

Is that front thing just a piece of metal extending forward to have "TFORCE" there, or is it at least a part of an "upgraded" skid plate?

Yes it's the "skid plate" but not like a TRD PRO.

The steps on the rock rails are removable too which is kinda cool.

It looks like you still have the standard skid under there, you sure? Are the steps attached to the body or frame?

That's why I said "skid plate" with parentheses. Looks like it's added on. Not sure how the steps are attached but they come off the rails themselves.

I was getting oil filters today and the dealership I was at had one of these too. I did not stop to look too closely, but it did catch my eye.

Sigh. These unfortunately are popular in Gulf States and Southeast Toyota regions. TSS Tundras are everywhere here. Thousands more for black wheels, chrome exhaust tip and BFG ATs.

Edit. Just found out on Wikipedia that GST and SE Toyota are the only private distributors of Toyota. Everyone else probably already knew this, but I didn't. I guess that's why they're the only ones that do these ridiculous packages.

I actually saw a tacoma rocking a "tss" badge today where TRD usually goes... what does it all mean!

It's a gulf states equipment package. I traded in a 2011 TSS Tundra on my 14 Trail. It was a nice decent package. On my Tundra it had a different grill insert, chrome exhaust tip, step bar, 20" BBS wheels and 305/60-20 tires. How much was the package over a standard Tundra? I couldn't say (stickered at 36K in 2011 dollars). But I liked it and it didn't seem unreasonably priced for me. Those are Nfab sliders with removable steps, so I imagine they attach to the frame. But I cannot say that with 100% confidence. That front skid plate looks like it has side bracing strong enough to be used as a skid, but I would want to lay down there and see it closer.

And these are also available in Black. I started a thread on them a few weeks ago, but the T was dropped by my spell correct in the thread title.

I checked with N-Fab a while back (before SSS made my sliders) and they said they do not make any sliders or nerf bars that attach to the frame.

When I had my FJ, they looked like they could have been N-Fabs, but they were OEM Toyota's.

So I am thinking they are bolted to the pinch if they are N-Fabs...

One way to find out....OP gets to go look see!

Looks like you are correct, They have changed the description and pictures since I last visited their website......
