4Runner/Tacoma Fenders

Are they the same? They look the same in pictures but do all the lines/mounting points match up?

From research Ive done, the fenders will bolt right up but, you will need tacoma turn signal and headlights, tacoma grille, and tacoma hood. 4runner turnsignals wont fit the tacoma fenders, you will need the tacoma headlights to have head and turns matching. with tacoma head lights, you will need the tacoma grille for it to fit, since you at this point would have tacoma head lights and grille, that is where the need for the tacoma hood comes in to play. also, with the tacoma head lights, you will need the tacoma filler panels (the small panel underneath the head light.

I was trying to find a cheaper way out on Baja fenders by buying ones for a Taco. I guess that won't work lol

^^^My understanding is that you need the Tacoma core support in addition to the rest of the things listed, and you'd need to drill out the spot welds and rivet/ weld the new one in.

As for the fiberglass fenders, you have to drill holes in them anyways so I don't know why you couldn't just mount them and drill the holes where the T4R holes are and trim the fiberglass to fit the corner markers since it probably won't line up perfect. I just don't kow if they'd work with the stock T4R hood. The fiberglass fenders are known for needing some extent of "fitting" even on the tacos they're meant for. It sure would be an expensive experiment if it didn't work though!
