4runner TRD Pro

Question

Ordered TRD Pro two weeks ago. Dealer has a VIN so to the question.

1. Is this allocated and on its way to the dealer?

2. If yes to above, is there a way to track progress?

I ordered in Red, this one is White. Preference is Red - Cement - White in that order and will take any color before the well dry's up.

Thanks

First "mod" lol, as soon as I got home from Dealer. There is no other chrome on the truck, not sure why they didn't just come blacked out. This is the overlay kit from TRDparts4u, didn't want to mess with taking off and painting, or plasticdiping. Took me 5 minutes of prep and Voila:

Sliders

Picked up my Cement Pro yesterday in Northern NV. Anyone have experience with Rocky Outfitter sliders? Other recommendations from personal experience welcome.

On the license plate frame, my sales person said they don't install them. Let the owners decide. I used to have a Viper. Owned it 10 years (in Colorado) never installed the front plate. Was stopped once. Had installed the second plate behind the rear plate. Cop asks why I don't have a front plate. Told him I do......behind he rear plate. Fortunately, he found that pretty funny.....let me go with a warning. Never did get around to installing it. :naughty:

Looks nice, but now you better do something about that chrome license plate frame.....

In Texas it's the law to have a front license plate, hell with my luck I'll get stopped every time for it and I guess to be truthful it doesn't bother me since all my other vehicle have had it.I'm just ecstatic to have it home where she belongs maybe I'll take it off and see what it looks like but that's just a small twinkle in a vast universe.

Delivery

Pic of my Pro at the dealer being delivered yesterday. They did a nice job.....and still have 2 unsold remaining from their allocation this year. PM me if interested.

Your vehicle looks killer! The front license plate issue isn't a big deal.

In a perfect world it would be cool to leave the front plate off but I guess law enforcement needs to see our front plate.

When you guys say you "placed an order," does that mean you just put a deposit down and told them what you wanted? I've talked to several dealerships, and most seem to say you can't actually place an order, they just get what they get and you'll be on the list. If you want what comes in, you can purchase it. Does that sound right?

I put $500 down on a 2017 Trd Pro cement last May. My salesman told me that would help the dealership get one. Although not really an order.
He knew back then that cement was going to be one of the colors.

When I placed my order float the manager at the dealership took my personal information on one of there order form wrote all my options I wanted for the vehicle went into his computer (some ordering program) input all my personal info with the options I wanted through Toyota and they I turn sent him a customer# acknowledgement for the order and then he took my $500.00 check for the order. Then the waiting game started and every now and then I'd get updates upon receiving a VIN# and tracking it through port on there end.Hope that helps answer your Question

I think I need to see the cement grey in person, as the pictures don't seem to be doing it justice for me. I have actually been surprised at how much I like the red over the cement grey as of now.

Anyone receiving their rigs this week? Mine is coming up on 7 days since arriving at port and no updated processing/shipping date.

However, my dealer has told me to come by after work today to get my trade in appraisal done, as well as getting several portions of paperwork done for my cement that's coming in. At least this is progress, I think.

Located in Virginia, Pro is at port of Newark I think.

Same color/paint as was on the 13 FJ TT, its "flat" as in there is not metallic shine to it when you get close. 1ft away is the same as 10ft.

Incorrect... I can confirm that on a 2017 Cement, there is a metallic shine to it when you get close.

Not surprised. Last year every california dealer i tried to buy from wanted minimum $6k over sticker. Even my car broker said his connection in cali could only go to $2900 over MSRP. Paying around $700 to have it shipped from Texas to my house. Worth the time and money imo.
