4runner TRD Pro

I'm excited! I ordered mine on Dec 23rd, and just got my VIN and expected arrival date of Feb 26th (I was 2nd in line).

Got the Cement color and I'm about to order a rack and toyotech lift and mats...

!!!!

Would you mind sharing what the residual price was that they offered, and how much you financed through that lease? Most threads I've read on this seem to echo the thought that buying is king here, but the math/truth always lies with the numbers!

The residue value (buy out) on my 2016 trail premium is about 10-12 thousand under market value. 3 year lease, ~24k buyout Canadian dollars.

The way I see it, I got 0.99% interest for 3 years, then I will buy it out and pay it off. 0.99% was lower than I could finance it for, so I'm saving 3 years of 4% interest and still paying down my 4runner

That's terrible, which dealer is this?

He's also full of shit about not having control over the options. I put my $500 deposit on a 2017 that's arriving at port in two weeks and was able to remove the cargo cross bars and add remote engine start. The sales manager did it right in front of me and printed out a new spec sheet for me with the VIN number and details.

Magnussen's Toyota in Palo Alto

My post about the car wash is I live in the Midwest where we have salt, sand, grit etc. When they run thousands of cars through their automatic wash with little to any maintenance or cleaning of the brushes etc, where is all that grit from the previous 3,000 cars that have gone through? Thats right, in the bristles. So if you like your new mega rare TRD Pro to be washed with a Brillo pad, go ahead! I prefer a bit more care for my rig

Thanks for the pic keepITreal--exactly what I was looking for.

Does anyone know if there's a way to track where the vehicle is via VIN#? Mine is supposed to be on a boat somewhere in the middle of the Pacific right now.

The last time I ordered a vehicle like this was a BMW and they gave me a website that tracked the GPS coordinates of the actual boat the car was on so that you could see where it was each day.

Also, I've been looking for a very particular 4th gen for almost 18 months. As luck would have it, not 1 day after I put down a deposit for a 2017 TRDP, one of my many search alerts notifies me that the exact 4th gen 4R (color, options, everything) I've been looking for is now for sale down the street.

It would be literally half the price of the TRDP and a much more prudent financial decision, but I'm really looking forward to the TRDP. Maybe I should buy both? lol

Go to https://www.marinetraffic.com. I ordered my M2 last year and tracked it via this site. Just need to know the name of the ship.

Hooked on Red also

You and me both, but as soon as I saw it in person I was hooked! I get stopped constantly by people and the first thing they say is how much they like the red with black trim/wheels. It really is a nice color, glad I gave it the chance

I too wanted a cement initially but was told 2-3 months. Then a dealer had a red one available and I took it sight unseen. When they pulled it up, I fell in love with it. Nothing wrong with the other colors, but I'm really happy with the red. No question that they will see me coming.

Kleenex holder???

Some of you may have noticed there is a "Kleenex" holder built into the bottom of the center arm rest/compartment. I think Toyota was just too PC to state what it really is.....a gun holder. Fits a small concealed carry revolver or semi auto like a glove. Thanks Toyota!

I'm in the same boat. Email from dealer today....expect it by next week. Mine was built 12/20. Probably came on the same boat. Which dealer did you go with?
Ok, so I'm hoping to hear how your deliveries are going? Did either of you get a vessel to track? I have one on the way too, should be arriving at same port, just not sure if I'm a week after the two of you. I have a VIN, but didn't pester the dealer to get all the details. Trying to be patient!

Mine is enroute to the dealer who expects it Thursday.

Awesome! I'm really happy for you. I've heard mention of 2/15, that is why I suspect I'm another week out yet. Just not sure if that is when it hits the dealer or comes into port. My salesperson is out with a family matter, so I'm trying not to press, but I'm excited for it to arrive.
