4runner TRD Pro

saw someone refer to the Cement as elephant color on here.. ha. the other day someone told me the loved my Cement TRDP and it reminded them of a Navy vessel... never thought of it that way, but it def does look like a battleship
I have a Cement and I love it! I too thought it looks like "Battleship Gray". I also think that Quicksand looks like "Desert Tan". Probably didn't want to use Military Colors as the names.

Also, I was reading what others had to say about the swaying/braking. I don't notice it drifting, as to have to be constantly correcting it. It drives nicely, but I do feel a bit tippy at times, even at the posted rate of speed. A lot like the older Toyota's with the higher center of gravity. Been a long time since I've been high off the ground and loving it. As for the braking...right off the bat I noticed that when I applied the brake even the slightest it grabbed hard! That was applying normal pressure and not mashing on it. It does dive in the front when you apply the brakes more aggressively. But to me not alarmingly so. I had a Camry that dove and groaned when you mashed on the brakes, it felt like the car was coming off the chasis. This truck doesn't do that, that I've noticed anyway. But I haven't had the occasion to slam on my brakes to stop an impact. However it has been an adjustment to get used to the sensitivity of my braking system.

So I'm noticing when I let go of the steering wheel, my TRD has a slight pull to the right. Anyone have this issue? It's not so bad for me to be bothered by it, but it is something I'd like corrected eventually.

Any solutions?

I had the same problem. Dealership did an alignment and it's solved.

Mine finally came in, pick up on Wednesday after clear bra installed. Here's a couple of pics from dealership.

Mine has had a slight pull to the right since day one as well. Hasn't been enough to make me want to go into the dealership today, but will have it corrected at first service.

Hello all,

I am new to the forum. I have a 2016 TRD Pro, in white. I was looking at upgrading the OEM headlights to LED lights.

Any recommendations from the forum concerning type of LED light to upgrade to? What is the most reliable? The auto shops around where I live recommend Putco, Oracle and Race Sport LED lights.

Thanks for any help anybody can provide.

David

I upgraded to the XenonDepot Philips 4300K HID Kit and couldn't be happier with the decision.

My dealer told me that turn around time has been averaging 11 days from the day it is offloaded to dealer delivery out of the Houston port. That is to dealers in Arkansas, it may be a few days less for Texas.

Dealer informed me that my truck is showing shipped from the port in Houston. Hope yours is on the way soon as well.

Just found out my car has the Vehicle Protection Premium Package.... includes :

Film on the hood, the mirrors, behind the door handles, and the door edge guards. Lusterizing Sealant. Sealant Cleaner . Fabric Guard. Rental Car Assistance

Anyone have experience with the above, and whether that will require any maintenance in the future? Any yellowing?

Might not notice yellowing as much on the Cement as you would say on Super White. Fabric guard is a bit of a waste imho with the softex, and would be surprised if anyone has ever used a claim on it. Out of curiosity, did you also get your VIN etched in the windows?

My TRDP came with that package; I personally would not have asked for it, nor paid for the option. Unfortunately, I had no choice since it came with the the truck. I do like the clear film protection, but as you mentioned, It will probably yellow with time (concern for me since I have the white color). The Lusterizing sealant appears to be just a wax, nothing special. Not sure what benefit TRDP owners get from the fabric guard since the seats are softex. I don't remember the exact wording, but the vehicle rental description was not very clear on what it covered. I don't think it covers a loaner for extended services or warranty work, which makes no sens in my opinion.

I ordered my Cement TRD Pro a month ago and on March 20th my dealer told me the order had been confirmed and received by Toyota. So it's been about month now... still haven't heard anything from him about a VIN or any progress. When was the first y'all heard from your dealer after ordering your pro. I feel like I should have heard something by now.

A month is nothing.... A lot of people on here have waited 4-6 months since ordering. I didn't hear from my dealership until a week before the vehicle was built. Then it sat for two weeks before being loaded on the boat. It should have reached port last week, but I haven't heard any updates since then...

I put a deposit down on mine on the 7th of April. One of the dealers that I was on a list for one called me then and said they just got one allocated and it was mine if I wanted it. I just talked to them yesterday, the 25th, and they said it was on the vessel on its way over. They would tell me when it gets to the dock. But I had to reach out to ask them that. They said they will keep me posted after it hits the dock on it's progress. But, I had been looking since January and was on 4 dealer's lists. I would shoot them an email and ask. There are other threads on there with people's timelines of ordering. I think after it hits the dock it was taking around 21 - 24 days before it was delivered. But there are a lot of variables in that.

I ordered my Super White in June of 2016 and the dealer told me the order had been accepted by Toyota. The first call I got was in January 2017 saying that they knew of a cement that was scheduled for another local dealer and that they could swap their Tacoma TRD allocation for it if I wanted. At that point things became more concrete, I was sent a .pdf of the VIN and other information about the vehicle and also told that it would arrive at the port March 2nd. From there it took another week and a half.

In total, I waited almost 9 months for an order that had supposedly been accepted, but obviously hadn't because it was a completely different color.

Glad I waited though and glad I ended up with Cement.

I admire people with your patience. There is no way I would be willing to wait for so long without answers. My vehicle should already be the States, and I'm still trying to find one that's available now. Cudos!

Trust me, it wasn't easy.

Initially I told myself that if it wasn't here by the end of the year, that I would cancel and purchase a different vehicle, but my wife convinced me to wait a bit longer.

Texted my salesman today to see if he knew about a Cement that was posted online today that was semi-close by and apparently he said it was already sold (which I figured), BUT he said my order might be here in June now compared to what it was in July. Placed my order February 25th
