...but seriously, Toyota's opinion of "epic" is probably far different from our own.

I special ordered a trail premium just over a week ago and now I get a whiff of this speculation. All I can say is, I'll be upset if I could've had a V8!

Having just gotten a Trail Premium myself, I'd be pretty pissed as well. I still miss the V8 in my 06'.

With that said, I don't see a V8 finding it's way back into a 4Runner anytime soon.

I'd be equally as pissed if they add a supercharger but I don't see that happening either. My gut tells me you're going to see cosmetic changes mostly with some minor suspension tweaks along with maybe an exhaust/intake upgrade.

You can easily get out of that. Just cancel that order and apply your deposit (if you made one) to a new vehicle.

The title says "TRD" but I don't think so. So many variations of vehicles out there reviewers got lost in models/specs. Anyway, I think he has the right idea about how to test the runner.

I don't necessarily think that is true, unless you've signed a purchase agreement for a specific vehicle and that vehicle's VIN is in the contract. Don't get dicked around.

Not worried. My company has been selling to auto dealers since 1986. Know quite well the process and where we are with my order. Also the auto group's general mgr is a personal friend. Just bad timing on my part having had them order this special build outside of their normal allocation, then I hear of the trd pro coming. Regardless, will not be disappointed with what we have working if that's what we continue with. Just, more cylinders is pretty much always more desireable.
