4runner TRD Pro

Cant wait to pick up my TRDP but I'm not looking forward to getting dings in parking lots. Any suggestions on how to best prevent this other than not parking next to other vehicles?

You could park on top of someone you suspect that might door-ding you.

That's not too bad at all especially with a newer engine.

I'm disappointed that they didn't add the TRD exhaust on the 4Runner.
I'm wondering if there will be a good aftermarket air/intake- exhaust combo with a chip to boost performance and efficiency. I've given up on having an SUV with a diesel so I need to research how to improve upon what is offered with gas.

I was also going to ask for suggestions on TRD vs Borla or other Cat back exhaust systems. Are they worth it and which would you recommend?

I've currently ordered a aFe Stage 2 CIA and a Cat-Back Magnaflow Exhaust for my TRDP. I went with Magnaflow for the reason that their application for the 4Runner, the tail pipe end comes out behind the passenger side tire. I happen to find it on Amazon for $578 when I ordered it.

I'll give a update on my findings after install and reset of the MPGs.

You have a picture of your truck on some kind of dirt road.

Do you wrap it to keep rocks and sticks from scratching it when you venture off pavement?

If you plan on using your vehicle, it will show signs of use.

You know, that is a brilliant idea! X-Pel self healing wrap the entire vehicle!

Amazing the abuse I'm getting for not wanting to drive a dinged up new T4R

You should see how bashed up mine looks after one and a half years.

Keep it in a garage, drive it on weekends and sunny days (you will freak come wintertime) and park it across two parking spaces like a Porsche if you want to keep it pristine.

Waiting for my TRDP to arrive. -_-;; when was it supposed to hit dealerships?

the first ones were delivered early this month. i got mine on monday of this week. white and black were the first colors to roll off the production line, if you ordered inferno you're waiting until a bit later this year.

Just happened to be in Birmingham Al over the weekend- Limbaugh Toyota has a new white TRD pro on the lot. Just an FYI if someone is looking for one. Their website shows it as for sale and it was displayed on the lot- so I'm assuming it's in stock. Very cool 4runner!

Anyone in the Northeast have any potential delivery dates?
We seem to be getting them last. I believe it takes an additional 3 weeks to ship from Japan to the east coast.

My dealer in NY said "the end of the month"

I spoke to a dealer in PA yesterday and he has one at the dock and is expecting it next week.

You live in a big city where nobody respects your vehicle. You come to a 4Runner forum which is populated by mostly guys who take their vehicles off road a lot. There are more threads here about suspension mods than door dings. I don't understand the abuse you are getting either...

Excellent point, I do live in a different type of "Off-Road". Sorry forum members, please disregard the question and go on with your enjoyment of your T4R's.

3 black TRD PRO

While waiting to get the wife's car serviced noticed 3 black TRD PRO 4Runners at Magic Toyota in Edmonds, WA.

My sales guy/dealership made a bunch of calls today and couldn't get any more information on build and delivery dates for the Inferno Red TRDP 4Runners. Seems so strange that these are so far behind the Black and White. I wonder if it is there is a production reason for the later release or if it is simply a marketing thing. Strange that Toyota had the Inferno Red Taco and Tundra on dealer lots from the very beginning and seemingly at the same time as the black and white versions. It could just be the difference in the factories that give birth to these machines, but it all still has me wondering.

Got mine today. 10 miles and the reviews are good so far! Way more comfortable than my Tacoma that is for sure. Gobi ranger rack should be here any day. Didn't get any pics tonight because it was dark before I got home. If anyone has any questions let me know....
