I am stilling waiting the same info on the Inferno that I ordered further back than I can remember at this point. Let us know when they give you a delivery date. I am curious what that date will be.

When did you order yours?
I ordered my Inferno on 9/30/14 and they estimated delivery around Jan 25, 2015. I still haven't received my VIN yet.

Woke up this morning not expecting to get a trdp. Now what the heck do I use the cargo tray for?
I know its kind of useless... I want to remove mine and replace it with a drawer system... also if I put my ARB frige on it, I'm unable to use the cargo cover which is almost as equally useless .....#firstworldproblems

I thought it was a joke, but now love it!
No more climbing into the back of the truck when you need to get everything out. (with lift you'll come to appreciate)
Bags of ice, coolers, hiking pacs and heavy gear no longer have to be packed in far back for easy reach.
Great bench seat while your at the beach, park etc.
No more dragging heavy stuff across your bumper. However you might miss the custom pin striping.
Most important: What an amazing wet bar . . . plug blender into your outlet, set led lighting behind bottles, hand lit sign from tailgate with tunes a blasting, parties at your place!

Haha this man is exactly right! Didn't think I would need it until I came back from Costco. It made unloading easier and more accessible. It's a nice addition.
Could I do without it? Yeah, my 3rd Gen doesn't have one and I still made do just fine. But, now I can reach in and grab more stuff and carry it all at once! No such thing as second trips!

Honestly the only benefit I see is when u fold down the seats you have more of a level plane to sleep on? I don't really for see myself shooting and sitting atop from the tray and having easy access to beer and ammo- Not that country and no offense! Would like to hear others opinion on the tray.

Like many here, I hated the tray at first when I was shopping the new T4R. Test drove a few and always told the salesman... "what is this gimmicky tray doing here... Can I get one without this?"
Now, I have to say that I love the tray! Actually made sure that my TRD came with it when ordered. My 3rd gen didn't have such a huge rear bumper so the reach wasn't as bad as the 5th gens deep bumper. Great for tailgating or laying out tools or gear in the field, sitting on while the shade of the hatch is overhead. Great for level sleeping while camping or carrying items that need a level surface. Pull up 2 chairs and use as a table for 2 to eat while camping. Makeshift workbench in the garage when fully extended. Endless uses depending on your setup. My 2 cents.

I believe Warthog has detailed instructions on how to remove the cargo tray. If your not interested in keeping it just check out his build thread.
Why would asking for more opinions impact your needs? Beyond what's already been suggested, there's nothing magical about a sliding tray. If you don't want/need suggest you either remove or find another truck.
AMEN! I don't understand how much more input he/she is requsting.

I got a text from my tech at LeBlanc Toyota dealership that a TRDPro 4Runner (with a pic) had arrived and he was servicing it. ↔ (edited)
Funny because I already had a appointment for some service.
Called my salesman and told him I wanted to take a test drive first thing in the morning.
Long story short, I arrived and we went for that test drive. It had 3 miles on it.
Can definitely tell the difference on the new coilovers and rear shocks compared to the OEM and even the TRD/BILSTEINS off-roads (from a FJ w/off-road package) installed on my SR5 with stock coils.
Suprisingly, the price has not been inflated on this truck.
Only the add ons sent the price above the normal advertised MSRP.
Also, they are expecting more to arrive.

Wow, Jan 2015. I ordered mine on the very first day that you could even order a TRDP, which was July 8th. I watched the new car sales director punch in the order at about 8:30am that morning after I got a call from them saying that they were finally able to order TRDPs by computer. I had been talking to the dealership about the TRDP since April at which time I gave money down and signed an agreement for under MSRP pricing and the option to get my money back and walk at anytime or apply it to any other vehicle I'd like at any time.
Still waiting for a build date. I did recently hear that the Denver region, which I am in, still hasn't seen any Inferno Red build dates for any of the orders placed.
