First damage

Semi kicked up a rock, cracked the windshield directly in my view! Annoying not even 1000 miles yet. I have glass coverage. I have a feeling this wont be the last time either.

Received the text I've been waiting for the last 6 months. She's here and I will be picking her up tomorrow!! Just in time for my Christmas road trip to the NV desert. I will keep you posted on how it goes.

On a side note, the dealer had a white 4Runner on the show room also. At first I thought they had a white TRD Pro. However, it had a 3-inch lift, aftermarket wheels/tires, Rigid LEDs, no TRD Pro suspension, and no emblems. I asked the sales rep what it was and he told me it was a TRD Pro. I told him why it wasn't, and he said, "well the guy who's buying it doesn't know that." He said it was a Trail Edition with their version of the TRD Pro package. F-ing dealers.

That stuff drives me crazy. I've had people asking me why their truck had terrible steering wheel vibration and they couldn't get anyone to help. Turns out, the truck had one of those cheap lifts with cheap 20" aftermarket wheels. The guy thought that was part of the Rock Warrior package because the dealer told him that. (Note: everyone, please do your research!!!) He finally got his money back for the aftermarket bullshit and got his Rock Warrior back to stock, and surprise, the truck had no issues after that. The dealer fought him all the way until he brought Toyota Motor into it.

As far as others talking about a V8, I would be really really surprised if it returns. That isn't the direction I see Toyota moving for midsizers.

Just depends on your credit and how far the finance guy is willing to make a deal for you. Qualified for Toyotathon rates etc. on the TRD Pro (0% at 36-mo, 2.9 at 60-mo).

I actually just drove through the lot to see what Tacomas and 4Runners they had in stock and saw it. This was just about at closing time Friday night. It appeared to be available.

Would be sweet if could add red stitch or something red applied that would not wear off on the TRD shifter.
It does has red stitch on the front that you can not really see (looks great if you could).
Thoughts?

Not sure if it's been posted yet, but Toyota's website is now allowing you to add almost all of the TRDP components as options on any truck. Wheels are listed as only $215, strangely. Suspension, skid, mats, knob are all available.

Wheel (singular) is listed as $215. I'm guessing that a set of four would be $860. I think this is a great marketing approach by Toyota, as we've already pretty much figured out that the TRDPro is not fundamentally different in any way from the other models.

I was under the impression that $215 was the difference in price between the two sets of wheels. They remove one to give you the other. I apologize if this has been covered, haven't read every single post.

I think I found Toyota's fix/mod for the TRDPs rub issue that caused the previous hold, looks like their solution was to simply cut away the edge of the front fascia on both sides (notice the lack of paint):

WTF?!?!?! Seriously? I'd take that back to the dealership and get them to paint it at a minimum. Otherwise, get a new piece that is painted and fix the issue the right way with some upper control arms that allow for enough adjustment to prevent the rubbing.

I emailed Breddeman Toyota last night and spoke with a guy on the phone and before he could call me back with a price the truck sold. Guess I'll be waiting till January for one.

Looks like a quality job. Just like my Honda S2000, which Honda had a problem with the tooling and the die was made wrong causing all rear bumpers to be like that from the factory as Honda never fixed the tooling.

So if the gap is missing. You have to ask why? Was the car crashed and the body shop fixed the issue when repairing the car? That is usually the case.

Yep, just checked mine. Not as noticeable in white...BUT could the edges begin to "flake" with crisp unfinished edge down the road? WTF is correct.
