4runner TRD Pro

I hope that this is a fluke and only on one wheel but I noticed this yesterday. The dealer has ordered a new center cap for me under warranty. However it is still sketchy...

Are the letters vinyl? If so I am about to peel mine off, but have never investigated as to whether they were paint or vinyl and from the looks of your pics they look like vinyl.

NVM saw your other post, if that is paint then they def should replace it for you.

Well ain't that some BS! I am very disappointed with Toyota.

not a big deal to me. I have been putting this truck through winter hell in snow, salt, car washes, potholes, etc. Didn't really expect the red to hold up anyway.

Now if we can just get the clunk fixed!!!

I sure as do hell, I'm checking mine in 20 min.
Edit: mine are different and good, see below post.

Mine is totally different that yours. The letters are flat, unlike yours. Mine look like paint, not vinyl. Happy.

Looks like a $12,000 primer job. Lol

That's a lot of time and money for something that's going to look fairly common unless you're right up on it. I'm sure it looks better in person though due to the matte finish. If I were going to do that, I would have gone for more impact like a pale yellow of electric grass green. But than again, I would not have done that.

Had this work done today

Took the 4runner in for a little work today. I think it turned out good.
Roof rails blacked out and rear emblem also done.

This picture shows how almost level she is after I had the Toytec 1/4 front top plate spacer put in last week. Just a little rear high(less than 1/4 tank of gas) which is what I was after.

I'm loving this machine!

You may want to consider getting rid of that emergency pull rope with the little red handle on your garage door.
Scumbag thieves have a technique of slipping a wire with a hook in the crack of the door and the handle of that rope is easily grabbed and POOF! They're in.

Beats having to mop up thief blood off your floor. (I always say)

What exactly are they cutting at the port?? Plastic or metal? And I really don't understand why?
The only difference from stock is a mild leveling, different wheels and a tire change in stock size. Where exactly is the issue?

This pic is from front right fender, in front of the wheel and shows where they cut:

This red line shows where the fender would have continued:

Another alternative would be to leave the pull rope and put a thick zip tie through the one hole in the bracket. That way it will prevent a thief from jamming the wire loose but you would be able to pull the rope with enough force to break through the zip tie. There are some videos on youtube that show exactly what to do. They also show video of how people can break in. It's scary as hell.

I agree with you though about mopping up thief blood off the floor. That's why I had a floor drain put in when I built my house.

I don't have a pro, but I have these wheels and just looked at them. One of the four is peeling and I have less than 100 miles on them. Not a huge deal but I like the look of red letters.

The red letters are crucial to the look and why I purchased these as well. The dealer replaced the bad one for me and said he hasn't heard anything on the issue but if they did change it they would issue a new p/n. Waiting to hear about it. Hope I don't have any other issues.
