I would suggest no on the K&N drop in, and doing something like the AFe Dry filter. The oil on the K&N has always caused a problem on my vehicles. Just giving some advice. At the least, research the AFe vs. K&N..
Never had a problem with oiled filters in 5+ vehicles 15+ years... 2 of them race cars.. Only issue is if you over oil them. Dry filters require $$$$s over and over again.
I will say that I do run a cheap dry filter in extremely dusty off-road conditions so I can throw it away and put my k&N back in for the trip home.
Don't know why I'm in this thread in the first place.....
