4runner TRD Pro

My dealer told me to expect transit to take a week and it got to them in 2 days. Needless to say I was pretty thrilled.

That's awesome. I can only hope that I have the same luck.

i've been on the fence on which sliders to get, but i narrowed it down to SHROCKWORKS and DEMELLO.

I was going to go with SHROCKWORKS, but their wait time is 10-12 weeks. And from what I've read online, it can take even longer than that sometimes. Thats just a huge pain in the a$$.

So I decided today to go with Demellos. Got super fired up and excited about it. Bolt ons for 534 and powder coated.

Got to the checkout page and they want $184 for shipping. This seriously annoyed me enough to want to go back to SHROCKWORKS, but the SHROCKWORKS page isn't clear as to what shipping will be.

Does anyone have any insight? Is $184 for shipping nuts? seems to be, to me.

Anyone have SHROCKWORKS sliders? what was the shipping and wait time.

Love my demello sliders. Bolted right up. Live only 3 hours from them, shipping was $50 if I recall.

Anyone know where I can get black roof rack end caps like the ones on the TRD pro? Not feeling the silver and I'm a little skeptical of plastidip. Part number would be ideal. Thanks

184 seems pretty steep, but keep in mind, you're shipping like a hundred pounds of steel.

That said, I think mine were only 50-60.in shipping.

I ordered the OPOR from Metal Tech. Went with bare metal option and painted myself. I think shipping was under $100.

My wait for my powdercoated Schrockworks sliders was about 10 weeks. Maybe 11.
Shipping was $80 to Colorado.

The kit is straightforward (and I love the slider design and construction). In my case, the kit was missing a few 1.5" bolts, necessitating a trip to the hardware store.

Some of the install is a PITA if you're doing it solo. I had to use a jack and some jackstands to hold the sliders up so I could bolt them on. If you can get help from a buddy/spouse/local street urchin, I recommend doing so.

Worth the wait and effort IMHO.

Figured I would try here in this thread....anyone know of a 2016 Quicksand on a dealer lot west of the Mississippi? Nothing up here in the NW (Seattle and 5 state area), and thought before ordering one (8-12 weeks I am gathering), perhaps there was one out there...and road trip it on home.

Just asking, maybe find an early Christmas present for myself.

I was looking at the new T4R TRD Pro but was worried about the towing capacity. I currently have a 2005 Sport Edition V8 and tow my boat with it. My boat is a 22 foot wakeboard boat and it isn't light by any means. My manual says my towing capacity is 7700lbs but the new TRD Pros are only like 5500lbs or something like that. Major bummer! Anyone tow anything with their new TRD Pro yet?

Cheers Popey for the lead! Just spoke to them, that truck sold yesterday as well...I think I'll hold tight this week to see if something pops up on a lot or in the system, and then after that, I will just order one up and wait.

Theres one at Michael's Toyota in Bellevue right now.....but my buddy is on his way up to make a deal on it lol.

EDIT: Just read that you said it was sold, my buddy talked to a guy this AM and he said it was still available.

Dumb question.. just heard today the the TRD Pro doesn't come with the sunroof option. Is this accurate?
