4runner TRD Pro

So here's an update. I got in contact with a dealership via email and got the guy to say they would order me a pro for Msrp. So I said ok cool is that the 41,850 Msrp that's showing on toyotas website? He then asked if I could send the link showing 41,850 which I gladly did. So here's the thing, that's the starting Msrp not including the 900 destination fee which I'm going to see if they will drop that. If they don't then I'll head to the next dealership asking them if they can beat that or not. Lastly I'm going to go to the actual dealership I wish to purchase it from (my extended family and I have bought 4 cars from them in the last 4 years because they treat us well). Once I'm at said dealership I'm gonna say ok here's the deal, this is what other dealers have offered me, use rather give you the business tho so what can you do for me. Hopefully it'll be enough to get them to cut me some breaks. If not then I'll head back to whichever dealer has the better price. Either way I'm guaranteed at least Msrp so won't need to worry about getting reamed with an over Msrp price. I think next week will be the week I head into the dealerships. Also those of you that ordered yours about how long did it take to arrive? Also I will be trading in my taco which I've never done before so will they take the trade in right away or will I have to hold onto it until my pro comes in and then trade it in?

You'll be driving around in your Taco until your 4r comes in, and they'll try to devalue your Taco since you'll still have it for a few months after you place your order. It's all a game.

I put my deposit down in September of 2015, dealer called me last week saying it's coming in on the 15th.

I think its weird that a lot of the quicksands popping up have the sliding rear cargo deck. If you try and put that option on a quicksand on the toyota website it says you cant put it on a quicksand QUOTE]

Yup, I wanted zero options on my quicksand and I got a cargo slider and all weather mats/cargo coming on mine. The mats I'll just throw in the closet. I have weather techs. I guess the cargo slider might be helpful for loading a keg every now and then. I'm just happy it will be here in a week.

Dang 5 months is brutal! Worth the wait tho and I bet this week will seem like forever too haha.

Mine came with the sliding cargo tray and all weather mats. So I still have the TRD mats in the bag from the factory LOL. Nothing else. I didn't think I would care about the sliding tray, but I'm starting to like it.

Looking to sell my Inferno TRDP 4900 miles. Located in SE Michigan. PM if interested.

Also seeing a lot more pop up with running boards - some are tubular ones - some are square.

Called a dealer in Kansas about one that came up on cars.com - went to their website and it was 44,xxx retail and they had a 3500 dollar savings making it 40,xxx so I called. Lady said it had not arrived yet but it was on the way and I could put down $500 to hold it. Unfortunately it was about 9.5 hours each way so I thought that was a bit too far.

Checked again and the price on their website is back up to MSRP haha.

The cargo deck is a region only thing. You cannot build it with or without depending on what region you are in. Toyota has already decided which region wants/doesn't want it

Why the sale?

Well I got the TRDP because I was tired of having modified vehicles and thought I would be satisfied leaving it stock. Well, I was wrong lol. I see the prices at auctions and what are asking for these infernos (45k minimum, and only a few on the market) so I figured putting it on the market wouldn't hurt anything. I love the vehicle and will definitely have no problem keeping it but figured before I start a built to see if I could sell it.

Hey guys, I posted a page or so back about anyone knowing anything about these running boards I purchased. Black Crushed Oval Step Boards, Part #: 00016-89013. Anyway, I purchased them on eBay and installed them today. I am by no means a mechanic but it was an easy install. It took me about an hour but that's probably because I didn't have any power tools. Anyway, they look great and I'm very impressed with them and thought you guys might be interested in how they look. They are metal and feel very solid... I'm liking them a lot. :biggrin1:

Is there a gap between the body and running boards?

My trdpro got delayed from 2/7 to 2/14, port of Houston arrival. Anyone else experience this?

My saleslady said 2/21 delivery. Obviously she padded the date so I assumed it would be coming in between 2/7 and 2/14 with a week for processing. I couldn't get much out of her. I would love to find out the name of the boat they're coming in on so we can filter the BS.

For those of you waiting on delivery I suggest adding 30 days to whatever date the vehicle was originally promised. This will do wonders for your sanity as there is nothing the dealer can do to hurry things along.

In general I think dealers would be wise to set expectations to 3 or 4 months but most people would not be willing to wait that long so they make promises they can't keep knowing they can easily sell it if you back out of the deal.

It's worth the wait.

seems fishy - why does first picture say sold and why does it say "certified pre-owned" and have zero miles?

I saw the sold sticker and was confused. My only guess is possibly allocated and sold to customer who backed out after they recd it?
In other words no idea..........but seems fair. haha

In other decieving news this image does not match, but it definitely is click bait material

This is obviously a scam and not a TRD or something is way off. Check out that seller's feedback. A total slimeball loser
