The salesman at my local Toyota dealer told me that you can no longer order a 16. I will have to order a 17. I know the MGM will be discontinued. Anyone else been told the same thing? If I order a 17 I will get a cement one.

It sure looks like a sunroof to me. That plus the cement color make for a really nice upgrade for the 2017 TRDP. I never understood why the sunroof is not a option for the current TRDP.

They had the original TRD pro's with sunroofs in all the commercials as well, and we never got that.

I was also told the same thing this weekend with an estimated 3-6 month wait from the time of order. This was Chicagoland dealers.

I heard basically the same thing in talking with a few Chicagoland dealers. 16 orders would be done near end of August, first 17s would start to show up just after Xmas time. No word on when you could put money down to get one however

2017 4runner in manual

Hey guys. This is my first post here. Just wanted to start off by saying its a pleasure to be on this forum. Im in the market for a new suv. Currently have a 2012 wrangler unlimited sahara edition. Im looking for something a little more refined but still with off road capabilities. The 4runnr trd pro has caught my eye. Im not in any hurry so may wait for the 2p17 model to arrive. I am curious to know if the 2017 will have a manual option as some of the sources online hint towards it. Ie. 2017 Toyota 4Runner trd pro Redesign | Release Cars

Does anyone have any more details about this??

That link is BS. There is no redesign or any changes outside of new color(s) for the TRDP. Trail models will be named TRD Off Road, but no design changes.

The 17 will be like the 16 , there should be a new color but that's it. 2018 is rumored to be the redesign year

I agree, the Magnetic Gray is sweeeet. I would have gotten a Mag Gray TRD Pro if every place wasn't asking thousands over MSRP which I couldn't bring myself to pay on principles sake.

My New 2016 TRD Pro 4Runner in Magnetic Gray Metallic

Decided we needed to get rid of the Tacoma and get an SUV since we just had our first little one. The wife and I have both been eyeballing the 4Runners. We decided to go look at a few. Saw one in Quicksand and one in Magnetic Gray Metallic. We decided on the Magnetic Gray Metallic TRD Pro. It had just come off the trailer. We were the only ones to ever test drive it. We have been taking it on a few road trips and getting the feel for what kind of accessories and upgrades we want to do. Even had a chance to get a little mud on her eve before the plates came in.

Bought a Quicksand one last week. Also took a lot of searching and frustration... MGM was my first color choice, I only saw the tan color on pictures and wasn't quite feeling it. Not many new 2016 TRDPs left out there, the only gray I was able to find was way marked up to almost 50K. Found a quicksand one 4hrs away under MSRP, went to check it out, loved the color and got it. Color looks much better in person, plus it's unique to 2016 TRDP. Looking for a rack, after the ordeal of finding the 4R I didn't expect the prices and wait times on the Gobi and Baja.

If anyone is looking, Racine Toyota just north of Chicago in Wisconsin has a MGM 2016 TRD Pro. No sliding rear deck but has the all weather mats and cross bars and the dealer applied $2500 worth of paint protection to the vehicle

Does anyone know when the 2017 will be coming to the dealers?? I'm thinking of ordering a TRD PRO. Called my local dealer and they said they haven't heard anything yet, which means that most likely it won't arrive till December. Any truth to this?

My salesman told me that its looking like December/January. From order to delivery it takes about 2 months, so they might start building them soon to ship over.

I'm in Los Angeles and I had to get mine from Shreveport, LA. This was the only one I could find and I looked as far east as Georgia.

Paid sticker and arranged for shipping which cost $1,500 covered. Luckily, despite reading many, many horror stories about car shippers, my broker was able to locate a company based in WA that delivered my truck in 2 days (supposed to take up to a week).

I had a local dealer tell me they could get a white one, but it would be $10k markup. Mine came with slide deck and side steps, though I'll have to replace the side steps with rock sliders.
