Thanks for clarifying. I assumed it was something like that. Do you know if any Pros have reached the port yet? I'm supposed to have the first white Pro allocated to Family Toyota in Burleson.

Its possible. We have a 2017 SR5 coming for a customer that is already there with the same 1/31 release date.
 
Counting down the days. My cement is due to arrive in port on 1/15 (either Baltimore or Newark), as I live in Virginia. I'm told I'll have my car the last week of January. Does the port processing take a few days to install the parts? I see in several posts that the gulf region is not seeing the cars released until 1/31. Does that apply for all the cars? I saw a post that a dealer out west already got one in.
 
I found a dealership that builds the off road premium editions into TRD Pros. Wait would be a week vs. however many months to wait for a factory TRD Pro. He sent me pics and I couldn't tell the difference. What do you guys think? He said similar pricing but I'm sure the price would be more negotiable than sticker on a TRD pro.

...or you can get your best deal on that OR premium, RUN from the dealer and find your TRD parts elsewhere and save yourself ~$3k:)

[MENTION=150399]17CementTRD[/MENTION] First off, congratulations on your incoming, new TRD Pro! I like the cement color.

I live right between Baltimore, DC and Annapolis and the dealer was getting my TRD Pro from Newark. I would have assumed that since the dealer was in MD they would be getting their cars from Baltimore but who knows how they distribute?

I don't know how long it took for the TRD parts to get put on in Newark, but I had to wait for whenever a transport trucker made the trip. In other words the truck was ready since early November 2014 but it took almost three weeks before it got picked up on a trailer and transported down to my dealer.

If it was in port in Baltimore I would have picked it up myself lol.

I put down $500 on a 2017 TRD Pro in Cement Last May.
My salesman wrote up the contract with the 2016 MSRP of 42,750 subject to change when the actual price is out. Not even sure if that was correct.

But if used is $55k! :nono:
 
Does anyone know if the 17 TRD Pro's are designated a special Vin#? You know to defrenciate from the non TRD pro(4runners changed to represent a made into TRD PRO)

My dealer did the exact same thing with the contract for a '16, dependent on '17 price.
 
My Cement was due at an SF port 1/7 and I should be picking it up by the 20th... fingers crossed. I'll get an update this week.

You do realize that the TRD Pro parts (suspension, wheels, mats, skid, etc) are not installed at the plant in Japan right? They are added at the port when the 4Runner arrives in the US. When the 4Runner leaves the plant it is a Trail Edition. Everything else is the same.
 
I wasn't aware excuse my ignorance, I thought it was a special run from factory this is why I asked.So I guess the only thing that make it is the special color
