Weird. It doesn't show up on my iPad, but it does show up on my phone. I guess it must be a glitch with the website. I about had a panic attack.:thumb:

Carson Toyota, CA is advertising a red pro if anyone is looking for red. No pictures but it has every option possible and probably a mark up. msrp 45,342

Emissions question - So i just got off the phone with a dealer in Virginia and they said if I buy a TRD pro there and bring to California, it wont pass emissions.

Every TRDP has the "50 State Emissions" added to it...so why would this be the case? This is the first I've heard of this. Any of you guys in California and bought out of state? - Any issues with emissions?

Ok, I think I found the glitch. It looks like the Gulf States Toyota zip codes are not showing the TRD Pro as an option anymore and the Midwest, Mountain West, and West Coast States Toyota zip codes are. Not sure why the Gulf States are affected and no one else is, but I can only see the TRD Pro when I use another region of the country to do my search.

Haha, he is a liar. You will have absolutely no problem with emissions from any model 4R to California. That guy just fed you complete BS.

just a list of craziness on pricing

I'm in CO and have been asking around at several dealers about the price of a TRD Pro and if they have any in. Here is some of the stupidity:
Dealer 1 says I could be #11 in line and may not get one until 2018. Didn't give me a mark up over MSRP.
Dealer 2 says I can get in line, didn't tell me how long the line was but said it would be 2500 over MSRP
Dealer 3 says I would be #8 in line and it would be 1000 over MSRP.
Dealer 4 teases me and first tells me there is one due in at the end of this month, beginning of the next that is not spoken for. Then emails me back and said, oh there are 6 people in front of me and they are marking it up 10k over MSRP. that one takes the cake. I haven't seen one mark up that high before. Anyone else?
Last year talking to dealers there seemed to be more availability. I was told by 3 dealers last year there was one on the lot and I could come down that day and pick it up if I wanted. 1 White and 2 Quicksand. I was also told I could order one and it would be about 8 weeks before it was built and then would be shipped to the US. Now I'm being told I can't order one, I just have to get on a list and see if I get one that they have allocated to their dealer.
Has there been a change form last year? I thought they were making the same amount, but it seems they are in shorter supply this year. Or is it just because its the beginning of the year and everyone wants one right now? Anyone having similar experiences?

The funny thing about all this is its just a damn 4runner. Yes a great vehicle but this fake short supply game being played by the Toyota dealers and their regional suppliers is a joke.

There will be 4runners later in the year that will be unclaimed.

I almost wish I didn't have 4Runner fever but since I am supposedly getting a white trdp in April I will just pay msrp and get on with my life.

Yeah, same. Later in the year last year there seemed to be plenty available. I guess I'll just wait it out for one. It isn't like my 2008 Taco is a bad car or anything. I just wanted an upgrade.
But I think I'll just be waiting it out until later in the year.

I was experiencing this as well yesterday, no option for TRD Pro build on the Toyota website but it seems to be back up this morning. I am in Northwest Arkansas so, part of the Gulf State distribution area.

Call a broker. They can find them. I passed on an inferno two years ago and a white last year.

When my Quicksand was still on the carrier at my dealer a guy walked in off the street and offered 50 grand for it on the spot.....

Luckily my dealer told him it was already sold. I paid a grand under sticker.

They also ended up selling a white TRDP they got in for 6k over sticker a month later.

Yea - some San Diego, CA dealerships were asking $10k over mSRP last year for the 2016s... RIDIC
