4runner TRD Pro

Ordered a 17 cement last May, Stopped at the dealer today. my salesman thinks maybe I'll see it in Febuary.
But he did give me the MSRP of 42,400 + $940 Delivery = $43,340

I may have missed it, but what did u pay, MSRP?

I agreed to pay MSRP and they are taking a little off the top for me because of the travel. I'm not saying there aren't exceptions, but I'd say 99% of buyers should expect to pay MSRP for the TRD Pro. High demand, and little allocation.

2017 TRD Pro

My local dealer in Jacksonville, FL, called to tell me they secured a cement TRD Pro for me in the first shipment to hit the southeast port. Should have it around the 20th of this month. Paying full MSRP. Gladly!!!!

My dealer told me the MSRP is 43,340. That is with the $940 delivery fee.
Is yours different? I am in Wisconsin.
I would think they would be the same.

Exciting

Here's 2 more pics from the dealer. I have to buy a flight out to Texas to get it. Hopefully in the next week. Will be nice to break it in on the drive back to SoCal.
Big congrats! That color is so much better than when under the lights at the Chicago show which showed a lot of baby blue. Excited to see product hitting shelves:rockon:

If anyone is looking for a Pro in Florida, Sun Toyota just called me and they have a cement coming in which is available. I declined and opted for a white one.

We should start a list of the Toyota dealers that are selling 2017 TRD PROs under MSRP.
That list will be very short.

The Honda dealer tried to sell me an extended warranty when I bought a Civic for my son. The idiot said the Civic has like 15 iPhones under it controlling the car and they can fail at anytime. lol

Extended warranties are a joke. Put that money in a brokerage account and self insure.

The sticker on my TRD Pro was 43,800. I got the truck for 42,150.
I'm sure he made up the difference in the finance rate which was 2.6%.

You are fortunate to have found a dealer willing to discount off sticker on a 2017 TRD PRO.

2.6% on a car loan is actually not bad. You could prepay some principal each month to pay less interest and also shorten the length of the loan.

Previous ordered TRD's

Hey Everyone!

Congrats to everyone that owns/or ordered a TRD!

My question is to those who have ordered a TRD in the past.

How late in the year do you think I could order one and actually get one?

I ask because my plan is to trade in my VW TDI(emissions scandal) late this summer and add some cash to make my payments reasonable. Originally, I had been planning on getting a used 2016 Quicksand(which I am not opposed to) but if I could work a deal/pay MSRP I would be interested in a '17 Cement. I figure the way TRD's are holding their value I might be better off with a new vehicle for not much difference in price, a potential lower APR and no worries of what the previous owner may have done.

Anyway to find this out through Toyota? How long should I expect delivery to take if this would be even possible?

Would be willing to travel pretty much anywhere in the country and drive home or have it shipped.

They have been making about 3,000/year and seem to become pretty scarce by mid year. There are posts on this site from people trying to get one in the late summer only to end up in line for one the following year. Other posts indicating that some local dealers are already reporting they have waiting lists that will exceed their allocations this year. Strictly dealer dependent. I wouldn't wait if I were you. Get on a waiting list now at a nearby dealer. Explain your situation and I bet you will find a dealer willing to work with you.

I would bet later in the year you will find a few unclaimed TRD PROs if you are willing to travel.

Find a high volume dealer and get on their order list and tell them you want one of their last allocations for 2017.

I think that is a great idea!

Do you think that will require a deposit? If so, how much would be a reasonable amount? Would it be refundable?

I ask because if it's refundable...it might be worth contacting, say 3 high volume dealerships in different regions...i.e Greater NY area, Ohio Valley, Gulf State, etc etc

Thoughts?

Usually they require a deposit. I put 500.00 deposit for my pro. Varies by dealer..

It should be refundable. My agreement was.

$500 deposit. Do it tomorrow with 1 high volume dealer.

You should be able to find 1 dealer now that can secure a spot for you I would think.

Its refundable up until the order is submitted with your chosen options. Some dealers might refund your deposit but if they submit a build order your deposit should go bye bye if you cancel your order. That seems fair.

Hats off to all of you...I come to this thread and I see the enthusiasm and excitement of all waiting/wanting and wishing and makes me smile.

Good luck and best wishes:popcorn:
