Ordering TRD Pro

So I am about a month away from placing my order. I have placed calls to numerous dealerships, all giving somewhat differing responses; some saying yes, we can order, it takes 6 weeks, only xx deposit, come on in! to others talking about allocation, waiting lists, can take up 3-4 months, etc. So obviously some of these guys can be pulling your leg and saying what they can to get you in the door, but what are did your experience fall in line with? I am in the Seattle area.

Ordered a 17 Red just over a week ago with deposit and told 4-6 weeks. Checking out this thread and experience of other TRDP owners, it appears timing of order and availability, etc. Looking at the Car Sales boards and clearly the TRDP's Whites with small sprinkling of Reds are arriving with deliveries moving east. Hope this helps

Went through a friend in SATX. I spoke to 4 HTX dealerships after I placed my order and none of them had any allocated and were quite simply not in the know.

Yeah buddy...quote probably meant for the Group Buy but any good Fab shop will meet your needs..For all too, these shops we mod our rigs are in the most part,,are all small business folks so get off your keyboards and call and talk to them ...you will be pleasantly surprised the difference between a keystroke and a true Hello...hell...if I don't know anything I say my name, what I am wanting or at times I have said this is what I have been thinking but I don't know shh#!!t about ...how say you?

Had this experience with Metaltech. Got a tour of the shop, some awesome swag, and met the employees.

BUT! C4 does not powdercoat. I asked and was told they are not interested. On one hand I don't blame them as shipping would suck...on the other...my Metaltech sliders could have been dropped off a truck at 65 mph and not damaged. :rockon:

I do like the C4's and their designs are nice..but it would have cost me a grand after coating them. That hurts.
 
For those of you searching, keep checking cars.com. I believe the dealer computer system automatically puts cars that are in transit to that dealer on cars.com. I was searching for a quicksand in october last year and my pro was accidently sent to ohio instead of california so they let the ohio dealer have it even though it wasnt even delivered yet. I called and got it for like 900 under msrp a week before it was to be delivered. Bad thing is some pros that are already spoken for will still be put on cars.com. Worked for me.

Hard to believe that those big dealerships in Houston had none allocated. Sounds more like you said, not in the know. LOL
 
Just got an update on my 17' Cement from a Michigan dealership. It will begin production this Friday and arrive at the end of February.
 
anyone take delivery in any of the Gulf States region yet? This wait is killing me!!! :ybrick:

I think I waited 4-6 months for an M3 and I don't remember being this consumed by the wait... :(

There is officially one in Dallas but I haven't heard of any one else getting one. Some one mentioned Sterling McCall in Houston and they are scheduled to get one in on the 22nd. So I imagine others will happen this week or next week too.
 
I still have 3-4months to go.. Lol I don't mind the wait. Luckily my 1.6 rate is good till July.
