4runner TRD Pro

page ~76+ of this thread describes the full port process, including pictures from an actual technician. Before and afters of a black Pro explained with photos. It's a good read for those not totally sure what is done from the factory vs. at port.
Thanks for that info. I hadn't gone back that far in this thread, started in late 2016 with the current 2017 discussion. Page 70 shows the vehicle as received by port, then the following pages have updates and discussions. I see a lot of people are referring to the TRDpro as starting out as a Trail or Off-Rd Standard. I don't see where they are switching out the bumpers and Toyoto front logo at port, so they must come from Toyota in black instead of the silver the Trail or Off-Road Standard/Premium have. Just an observation based on the 2014 pictures. I've enjoyed this thread, but these early pages have been great to review!

Silly question... do the 2016 weathertech floor liners fit a 2017 pro? I went to order some but weathertech only list up to 2016 (which I assumed would fit the exact same way on a 17) the shop told me they wouldnt fit.
Then I emailed weathertech asking if the 16 listed liners would fit the 17 and their response was:

"Thank you for your interest in our products.
They are not yet available and we are not certain when they will become, but may I suggest you fill a product request form on our website and we will contact you as soon as it comes out on our website?
Here is the link

Shouldn't there interior of the 16-17 be identical as far as floor liners go?

I assumed so - Mine came in for 17 TRD Pro which I don't even have yet :)

I'll let you know in 3 weeks...

I always had great luck with the weathertechs. Had them in my Taco and currently in my JK. Very durable. Great coverage. Get them covered in mud hunting/fishing..spray them off at carwash and like new again. Hence why Im looking at them for the runner once I pick it up next week. Can't comment on the OEM's.

I loved my weathertechs in my old Jeep GC. I could get sand and snow everywhere and it never TOUCHED the carpets. Love Weathertech.

I'm ordering the "2016" weathertechs tomorrow. Pick up Pro Thursday. Pretty certain they'll fit fine. If not I'll return them. Bunch of snow n slush here at the moment. Gotta keeper clean!

My Weathertech from a 14 Runner dropped in - perfect fit in the 17 TRDP. You should be fine

Are up upgrading the daytime running too? Any places for more mods or build thread. No cement pro build threads yet and you seem pretty far along.

Random question:

First time ever buying a new car. I want to just finance through the dealer since it's easier and he quoted me a good rate (I think). Looks like 2.6%. I have excellent (above 800) credit. Should I shop around? I'm paying this sucker off in 12-24 months... and I'm putting $25k down. So if I pay that off in 24 months, I'm only looking at throwing away around $600 in interest. Thoughts?

With credit over 800 you would probably get a lower rate getting a loan from your bank or credit union, especially at only 24 months. I'm not an expert on this by any means nor is my credit anywhere near 800.

The CU info I sent you didn't pan out?

Nice!

Tried to order some tonight, but I think they are sold out now, hopefully will be in stock soon.

I got mine off of ebay and they are perfect. I even put them on in the winter. Been through car washes and still on strong!

Always shop around. Even if it's saving couple hundred bucks. Could be used on some upgrade for sure. I have above 800 credit too but decided to just pay cash. Hate giving money to the banks.

Im going to the cleveland auto show at the end of the month. Last year they had the cement trd pro there. Will there be a 2018 pro? Will it be at the auto shows?

With a credit score like that, you should be paying no more than 1.25-1.5% interest. 2.6% with your credit score would be a ripoff. Keep shopping around. You should have no problem getting a sub 2% interest rate.

Anyone know if it's possible to remove an option before vehicle reaches port? Has anyone tried with the dealer?
