guess im gonna go and try to have my dealership put in a request and see if they accept it, granted i would like to go and just get one drive it home but that doesnt look like its gonna happen anytime soon. kinda annoying but what the hell else am i going to do lol. if i gotta wait 6 months it is what it is but lets hope i can get it

I used Daystar spacers to try to keep them from swinging up into the skid plate. I could only fit 5 on each and it still moves pretty easily so I've got isolators on the way. There are no signs that they even swing while driving around town, I'm just paranoid with having had it only a couple days. It's still a show pony till I can drive up into the mountains this summer and get some true battle scars.

Once you take it on some trails, I will be interested in hearing whether or not you are catching these on rocks. I could be wrong, but won't these affect your approach angle?

Don't worry about the wait, as once you put a deposit down at a local dealer your ability to wait will be replaced by a "I gotta get one now!", feeling and you'll end up finding one somewhere else before you know it! The order/deposit seems to be the mental switch needed to justify the travel and buy option

Not at all!! I've had sun/moon roofs for all my cars and I was concerned about this, but really haven't thought about it since my cement came in. I'm still in awe as i'm driving it.

Agreed. I've had moonroofs on my last three vehicles. Although I would have liked to have the moonroof and the signal lights on the mirrors, they definitely were not deal breakers. I think it's more a mental thing to be able to say my truck is option-loaded.

So this may be very very soon as I just picked it up on Sunday, but I am thinking this is not the car for me. It looks cool and is solid but think its overkill for what I want.
What do you guys think is a reasonable selling price? Not looking at making money but would be great to get what I have in it back. It's a Cement with only option of all weather mats.
Currently I have 325 miles all highway following breakin the entire way alternating RPM by gear changes. ANy ideas? Know anyone that wants one in the Northwest area?

So I picked up a used inferno TRD Pro about two weeks ago and love it. I have already gone on some trails and water crossing trails with it.

This poses a whole new debate/reference to value depreciation or appreciation on these... Personally I think you could get back at the very least MSRP. Problem is going to be who you sell it to, and the market. If you had the option to set it in the garage, and wait until the 2017 TRDP's are unavailable, that would better your chances at resale and net profit. Now if you are genuinely being a nice guy and cool with taking the typical hit associated with buyer's remorse, I'm sure you have some new PM's. Either way, would love to know the outcome. Good luck man, and sorry it didn't work out for you.

If I didn't already own the 2016...
I don't regret owning it but I should have waited for the Cement.
Gotta get my hands on the front headrests though.

Are you sure it's overkill for what you want? It's not as though the TRDP is a nuisance to drive as a regular SUV.

If you want to sell it and recoup what you paid, I'd potentially look at listing it on Craigslist/Autotrader in Northern California / Bay Area. Our dealers are starting to ask no less than $5k over MSRP (SF Toyota is at $10k over, Concord Toyota at $15k over), so for something with so few miles you should be able to get at least MSRP for it.

Other data points for you:

1) A 2015 Inferno red with ~50k miles sold for $44,000 private party (according to what the buyer told me)
2) I've seen two other 2015/2016s with > 20k miles listed for > $40,000 private party on CL and very quickly disappeared, so I'm guessing they sold for their asking price.

I would think with 325 miles on it, I'd go back to the dealer and ask if they want it.

Not a bad option. I know a couple of people that either upgraded or downgraded by selling right back to the dealership.

Yes but another 300 miles back to the dealer, if i could rewind the deal and start fresh I likley would but i dont think they want it back and would sell new with 700 miles on it. Its not a big deal over all. Its an awesome vehicle so not complaining at all. Just might be better to get out of this now rather than later with so little miles.

I'd figure you could sell it for the MSRP locally with ease. Otherwise, sell it for MSRP and split the transport cost if your buyer isn't local. You probably lose $400-500 worst case scenario.

I LOVE that inferno. Im still kicking myself for not getting one in 2015. I was in Ft. Worth a few months ago and Toyota Ft. Worth had a certified preowned on the lot for 39k. Mine was a few weeks out and I was this close to pulling the trigger on it and dropping the 2017. But now that I have this one the better half wants one to replace her Durango and the inferno is what will be replacing it.

No price is no problem. Overkill in looks and ability. The little kid in me fell in love with the looks in pictures but I feel I am more a Limited or at the most Off Road mentality in every day ownership.

In the long-run, I think you will be happy to just stick with this one. You can always get an off road or a limited, but this is something special! Enjoy it!!!

How often is everyone changing the oil in there trd pro? I keep hearing different things. I thought with 0 20 oil its 1 year or 10k miles? Or is it 1 year or 5k miles?
