4runner TRD Pro

I lucked out on mine. Was actually sitting on the lot when I drove by. Did a 180 and pulled up to look at it, only ever seen one on a lot and it was sold. Anyway ol Slither comes out and says "I see your interested in the 4Runner" Sure. You want to drive it? Replied, "Its for sale???" needless to say after a quick trip around the block I traded my '16 Taco TRD Sport in on it.

What was your negative equity

So much wrong with this post.
1. What is "fake demand?" Toyota can't control the demand for their product. They can control SUPPLY. And they keep supply tight on Pros.
2. "They are making thousands per unit." As opposed to what? Do you think their margins are that much higher on a port installed full suspension? This costs Toyota money to do. Also, they make "thousands per unit" on SR5s, limiteds and trails too.
3. The description of the TRD Pro being an appearance package is tired. I truly wish all appearance packages included a well-engineered suspension with softer springs and specific valving. Geez, for an "appearance package," you can't see a lot of what makes it a Pro.

Lastly, read a couple journalist reviews on this truck to understand how much went into the suspension. Or better yet, actually drive one and see for yourself. And then stop posting. Haha

My thoughts exactly. Until you actually drive this truck on a truly bad dirt road or trail you have no clue of what makes this suspension so amazing. I could not believe how well it took the bumps and washboards.

As far as an appearance package, yes it has that too. And makes it by far the best looking 4Runner out there. Watch other 4Runner owners turn their heads when you drive by.

And lastly, that guy sounds like someone who either A. can't afford one or B. can't get one. And BTW, a TRD ORP with KDSS is not a whole lot cheaper than a TRDP.

This.. people act like we pay the 5-10k markup when in reality we're just paying MSRP or lower. The ones who are paying the markup probably wouldn't even go near this site

What kind of fuel mileage are you guys getting? I have a cement, granted it has just under 1,000 miles, all stock, seeing 17 mpg. I have reset a number of times, and that is the best I can do.
I haven't been going by what the reading says. I calculate it when I purchase my fuel, the old fashioned way. I started out at 18.5, then was able to get up to 19.5. I did a road trip using cruise control and was able to get 20.4. Usually I am doing country roads, city streets and highway driving. I try to be mindful of acceleration and I am enjoying the eco guage. I haven't reset the reading it gives on the screen, it was about 19 the last time I looked. Oh, and I too am stock with my only add-on being step boards.

On a TRDP you're getting those numbers? I've been sitting at 16.8 / 16.9 but granted it's split across local and highway. Mine is pretty much stock also. On a recent road trip to Death Valley I wasn't seeing anything your numbers....maaaybeee 17.5 MPG.

Cement TRD PRO @ MSRP in Phoenix, left port and on it's way to dealership for April 12-17th arrival. Who wants it? I backed out because I already booked a trip to pick one up in Washington. PM me fast.

Not sure why people are getting so defensive about The cement color.

The cement color looks awesome in some lighting but in other lighting it looks like an elephant. Cement is a very inconsistent color!
So whatever! who cares anyway what I think? Some people don't like white. Big deal! I don't hear the white forerunner owners freaking out.

There are some people on the planet that are just not in love with the color of your vehicle and they're just not telling you to your face.

At the end of the day cement/elephant is a very cool color in certain lighting but in other situations not so much .

Just admit you have a problem with elephants. Elephant lives matter!!

Yeah, I had another TRDpro owner that was local ask what I was getting early on. I have just over 2000 miles on mine already. He was also in the 17.5 range. He suggested that he check the inflation of his tires to make sure they were good. I didn't hear back if it was affecting it. I am in Washington and so far haven't had the need to run air-conditioning, only windshield wipers. If your weather has you using the air, it could be dropping your mileage a bit. I really don't know why. Like I said before, I have been trying to be mindful of acceleration and deceleration. I like the eco bar that tells me how I'm driving. I drive some windy roads too with hills. I was elated to see that after my most recent road trip, first time using cruise control that I was able to get the higher mileage. I am using the 87 octane as recommended.

I have been running Nitto RG 285/70/17 with the Toytec 2 inch lift kit for about 7K miles now and I am getting 17.0 MPG.

Perhaps not apples to apples, but thought I'd share.

17.0 here. But hey, if I cared I'd be in a Prius. Well, it would take a lot more than me caring to get me into one of those.

Wonder what the 2018 colors will be for pros? Any good guesses?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm guessing that dark green or the lighter blue that was on the FJ's.. with maybe silver as the other new one and then of course white. Seems like that white is standard every year, with a special color, and then a regular rotating color..silver and nautical blue are the only ones that haven't been used yet for the rotating color.

So you're kind of a tough guy? Let me guess divorced maybe twice?

You pay child support and you live in your brothers basement but his wife wants you to move out!

And you're behind on your car payments.

It doesn't change the fact that you were here citing the cement as a cool color and then flip flopped to calling it ugly. You are at the very least a fraud, and your insults and opinions aren't welcomed here.

No one cares what car you did or didn't buy, so why undermine our purchases... are you salty that you can't afford one or couldn't get one?

Hopefully a mod can clean up this thread a bit. This is supposed to be people having and sharing their fun with the TRD Pro. And not about some troll justifying to the choir as to why he can't get one.

Guys, if you click that little red button with the exclamation mark on the lower left of a post, you can report douche bags to the mods.
