Stock you will see those numbers even above 65mph
You add a lift and larger tires...mileage will vary dependent on tire..lowerrr
12 to 13ish Off-road and Highway 16ish lowest and highest I have seen w/a 3in lift and 33in tire(E-rated)...that's a median but altitude numbers will vary too

CT gas has ethanol, I never reset my ecu in order to read new MPG info, for that matter I have no clue how you would do it and I've just accepted that my around town mileage will suck b0LLs. I did have one extended highway trip (for New England anyways, and did the old school mileage divided by gallons to get a 19'ish mpg and was happy)

The T4R is not my only means of commuter transportation, as I live close enough to work to commute by bicycle in above freezing weather and motorcycle on the days where I don't have time to cycle. If I needed something with good MPG's, the T4R would not be it as CT gas prices are evil:bat:

Hey guys I'm pretty new to the forums and I must say that this is pretty open and chill community. I'm looking at getting a 4Runner this summer and like every newbie nowadays wants a trd pro. I've been a scouring the forums about getting one. The wait times are pretty scary. Should I just wait until I move to Tampa to start looking or just bite the bullet and put in a deposit or just get a trd off road?
Ps. I'm in a weird predicament since I'm originally from Seattle and I'm moving down south to Tampa. On the ride down with my dad I was thinking of just calling random dealerships to see what's in stock. But it seems like once they advertise they have a trdp it's been sold months in advance.

Welcome. I wouldn't be too scared. You do have to put in some effort. That includes calling dealers and asking what's available, leaving numbers in case people drop off the wait list, and a willingness to travel outside of your region to get one. For example I was calling from CO to dealers in Texas, Virginia, Washington and Nebraska. If you are not picky on a color, your odds would increase greatly.
If you are ready to buy now, I'd suggest following some of the leads above. Some people are dropping out or just know of available TRDPs.
Also be aware that since the TRDP is in such demand (and or limited supply), that most dealers don't leave much room for negotiation. You will most likely pay MSRP. Some dealers will try and charge over MSRP, at which point you should run.
I highly suggest you take the time and browse this thread. There's a lot of folks that commented on their experiences, and some have varied from a few days to several months. I was able to find several in my search so I have confidence that you can find yours.

I actually ended up just getting an sr5 with a 3rd row. I actually picked up it up today. I really liked the pro but just decided that the sr5 is plenty capable for what I will throw at it.

Oh too bad. I figured they would have a wait list for it but I figured I would throw it out just in case
Picked up my cement TRDPro today! Got in too late to do a pic.
One thing that was surprising is that I figured the suspension would be a bit stiffer. I notice it bobs when I put on the brakes and has body roll and I had hoped it would have been stiffer. Difficult to tell the shocks and springs do much. I didn't drive a PRO before I purchased as there were none. I had planned to keep it stock but now I don't know - may have to do something about that.
Other than that, AWESOME!

It's soft and boaty enough that it gave my girlfriend motion sickness going up and coming back down Mt. Rainier. Also got her another time while playing up in the woods after going shooting. Never once did my TRD off-road Tacoma do that to her.

I test drove a TEP with KDSS and a TEP w/o KDSS before getting my Pro and I think the Pro has less bounce and roll then they did. I never get the feeling that the roll/bounce of the TRDP is excessive and anyone who has driven my truck, or been in it only has great things to say about the ride.
So, depending on what yo are coming from and what other T4R's you've driven, it may or may not seem excessive to you?

does anyone know if you can buy the black emblem overlays directly from toyota with part numbers? cause the part numbers i tried using online they do not work at the dealer. just figured id ask
