4runner TRD Pro

Hahaha... yea. I got a TRDP about 2 weeks ago (I'm in the gulf sates region) came with the cargo tray, which I was ok with. But had other useless and expensive options that I didn't want, but had no say in the matter. The LED illumination and Fogs packages are nice! Wish we had that option as well.

The TRDP I am picking up Saturday has the LED illumination package. If I can learn to upload pics I will upload if people are interested in seeing. Not sure if anyone has posted pictures of it or not. I googled it and didn't come up with much.

Whats up with the led and illumination in some states? Also, for people who ordered their 4runner, how long did it take to get the allocation or expexted build start date?

Any help guys? It's so freakin sunny out and my headlights wont turn off in auto mode. What gives?

I have installed Xenon HIDs and hope that hasnt affected anything.

Just a head's up...drove my new TRD Pro back from the dealer the other day and noticed the alignment was off and steering wheel was not centered (approx 20 deg off) when tracking straight. At the dealership now and they confirmed it's out of alignment.

Not sure if the TRD Pro suspension is installed at the factory, or port installed, or if this makes a difference, but for those who own or are about to own a new one, get it up to freeway speed and verify you're alignment isn't off like mine was.

CR

TRD Pro suspension, wheels, alignment, paint film, badges, shift knob, skid plate, and floor mats is done at the port port, mine drove arrow straight right off the lot, yours may have been prepped at 4:45PM on a Friday or 8:00AM on a Monday.

Go to the Toyota website and set your zip code for one of the South East states. I did Miami Fl. Go to build TRD PRO and you'll see the options.

Along these lines I was called for a TRD pro yesterday that I was on the wait list for. I figured it wouldn't come through. They are offering 36K over the phone for my TE with 6500 miles. I know the TRP price is set and its decent at base price and only added the sliding rear cargo and cross bars. Obviously they won't negotiate on the Pro and the offer for my TE seems more than fair.. is there anything else I should try to negotiate? More for the trade? Extended warranty etc? Not used to buying a vehicle where there isn't much negotiation. Overall so far seems like a more than fair swap out, but there must be something I can get to sweeten the deal ha :dancin:

I honestly think you have a great offer at 36k for your TE. About the only thing I got extra was free gap coverage insurance. The Pro's are in high demand and dealerships know this. You can also push for a better/lower interest rate on financing, but that's really more based on your credit and how much the dealership is willing to negotiate with lenders. Good luck on the deal! As a comparison; I paid 36K for my 2016 TE no KDSS. When i traded it, It had 3,400 miles and they gave me 33k for it. I was surprised they offered me that.

Please do. I'd be very interested on seeing how they look

Ordered first week in January, got email from dealer first week in March that it was being built, got email beginning of April that it arrived at port, and I picked it up 4/26. I live in Ohio.

That's kind of the feeling I got while talking to the salesman. I still tried to negotiate, but in the back of my mind I knew I was just burning time. Would this have been another series 4runner (SR5, Limited, etc) I wouldn't have budged, but knowing how hard it can be to find a TRD Pro, I just accepted I didn't have much leverage on this deal.

Sliding cargo tray is non-negotiable in Southeast Toyota(trust me). Cross bars would be only negotiating point based on what you are saying. However, I would make sure they don't have things such as a Toyoguard package(unless you want it). Some dealers slide that and the paint protection in as a standard, but it is not. You could maybe try seeing if they would
swap tires to like a KO2 or maybe even a 275 KO2, can't hurt. Other than that, negotiating more for your trade or maybe some Toyota swag from the gift shop would be about the only further price points I could think of. I once bought a vehicle for more than I wanted to pay, but felt better by having some polos and hats thrown in. Yea, I'm petty when I lose

LOL, who works 100% at those times of the day?! First TRDP drove beautifully off the lot, second one pulled. You have a point.

I have it on my TRDP picked up in georgia. They have leds wired up and its tapped into the fusebox by left foot. Sucks that they ran a external fuse for it though.

under body lights are very nice and subtle. Not rock light bright for sure.

Cement @ MSRP coming in at the end of the month. No other in line for it. This is in AZ. I purchased mine there several weeks back.

Quick question for you that know about remote starts. I had an aftermark remote start put in on my pro i sold and my wife has the factory one that came from japan so im familiar with both. I have a cement allocated to me but they are going to have to put in remote start at the dealer since factory isnt putting it in. Should i get an aftermarket from dealer or should i get the factory from dealer? Cost is 380.00 more for factory from dealer rather than aftermarket.

Contact gshadow325 for aftermarket alarms.

I have a compustar system from him with remote start/alarm, drone mobile and rps touch.

I took out the crappy oem start.

Pro came in

So when I initially started looking for a TRDp and before I knew about the demand, I stopped in a dealer about 20 min from my house and looked at a red one. Again I was unaware how difficult it would be to get one so I passed and really didn't want Red. Came home went on Toyota site and after building my dream runner I found out I couldn't get what I wanted...argh! Reminded of me when I was trying to buy a Harley in the mid 90's you literally had to give a deposit in the fall and hope you got one allocated. Anyway, like many of you I'm not used to not being able to buy the vehicle I want when I want, so the hunt was on and that's when I found this site, approx 2 mos ago. I have watched many of you wait patiently for months, while others traveled to score one so I was learning rapidly on how to navigate the process. I must admit it really became a game and increased my desire to get one even if I paid sticker!!! Never did that. So I kept in touch with the sales guy I met at my very first visit and put a deposit at another dealer and called dealers within 150 miles of my house to no avail. I really began to think I would wait and wait .....until about 4 hours ago the very first guy I talked to called me and said " I just got a cement pro in and you better get over here and get it"..Nice. But it must be my positive destiny to own one as I was able to rush over and do the deal!!! WOW. I hope toyota doesn't flood the market with these now and I find out they are giving them away....ha

Congrats. Was this the one at Mattick Toyota? I got a call on it yesterday, but decided to pass. Glad it went to a fellow t4r member.

Installed Front Window Tint

Tinted the front windows with Formula One Pinnacle 15; they match the rears perfectly and hide the factory green hue very well. Very happy with this selection!
