4runner TRD Pro

I have been looking for a cement for a while. Finally have a line in ordering one. I'm not really into the all weather mats but one dealer told me that it doesn't come stock with carpet floor mats. I assumed it would. Is this true? I would definitely want floor mats but in SoCal I won't really need the full rubberized ones. Thanks in advance!

It comes with the carpet TRD Pro embroidered mats.

so my buddy just picked up a 16 quicksand last night, and for some reason his brake pedal keeps vibrating like as if abs is kicking in, but it only does it every few times he hits the brake? my 17 doesn't do this just strange anyone else have this issue? no abs light or anything, his truck only has 8k miles on it too?

How much did he pay for it?

Coming in late June!

After searching for 3 months and putting down deposits in 3 different local dealerships I can gladly say the search is over! I contacted a dealership about 4 hours away because a buddy of mine got his there just to see what their wait was like and the sales rep said "you're in luck because we have a TRD Pro in cement coming in last week of June." It's been allocated to them with a built date of 5/29. It is the base model with only the all weather mats but it doesn't say that it comes with the cross bars....? I thought all Pros came with the cross bars. Is that not the case? Also, is the ETA pretty accurate?

Also, one of the dealerships I was waiting on got me a white one coming in mid June. They were going to try to swap with a different dealership for the cement while in transit but I doubt it will happen. If anybody is interested PM me and I'll give you the details.

Crossbars are a port installed option in all regions. It usually takes closer to 2 months post build date to get the vehicle, so it will likely be mid July before you get it. Congrats nontheless

Congrats on finding a TRDP. Get everything in writing. Your deposit should be contingent on final sales price as well as any options you want or don't want. The ETA they stated is very ambitious. Good luck.

That is correct, I only paid tax on the sales difference.

In all honesty, this has been a hellacious journey to the 4Runner. In March 2015, I bought a Power Wagon Laramie. All told, it spent almost 8 months in the shop between November 2015 and October 2016 due to death wobble, leaking rear glass, and a leaking brake light. After lawyering up, FCA and I finally came to an understanding and they bought the Power Wagon back. In exchange, I had to purchase another FCA vehicle. Wranglers are pretty much the only ones that hold their value so I ordered a JKUR Hard Rock.

I ended up losing about $3k on the Power Wagon -> Wrangler deal and another $3k on the Wrangler -> TRD Pro deal. It could have been much, much worse and I'm just happy that this journey has come to an end. On the bright side, I've owned 3 brand new vehicles in a little over 2 years....which will probably never happen again in my lifetime.

I thought mine was interesting... my duramax blew a head gasket at 50k. Guess how they fix a head gasket on a 2500 duramax? They lift the frickin body off! When asked them to fix both sides they said GM wouldn't do it and I'm not including all the drama to get to the point of the diagnosis . Good news though....Bam!!!

Nice, congratulations! Sorry to hear about your truck. My problems started at 12k miles. Sad that it seems so many new HD trucks have issues. I have to say that the best part of my experience was taking the dealership's service manager and his regional boss for a ride on a bumpy road at 65mph to induce death wobble. The regional service manager turned a lovely pale yellow as I repeated it several times.

You guys both just described why my friend ditched his 3rd Dodge 3/4 ton and got a Tacoma TRD OR. Sad thing is: I still think the 4Runners are a better deal and have a better build quality.

I have a 2015 Inferno I'm selling to get a new Cement. It should be here around June 1 or 15. Was built on April 27

Some more pictures from any new owners? Still not sold on the color.

Here is for sale post:

Damn. Going from inferno to Cement? That's a very dramatic change, but both colors are really cool. I was unsure of the cement color, until I saw one in person. I had previously seen it on the 2013 trail team fj cruiser, but it really pops on the 4runner. I'm still waiting for mine that was built on March 27th.

I love my Cement. There is a pearl/metallic in the paint that really makes the color pop, especially in direct sunlight. With any of the "one year only" colors, you really have to see it in person to appreciate it. Photos of quicksand and cement 4runners do not compare to seeing the actual color on the vehicle.

Any word on your buddies '16? I haven't had any trouble with mine.

If he bought used and the truck sat around without moving for a while the rotors could have warped, but I'm sure thats something a dealership would have looked for prior to selling. Or maybe not.

Also, if the rotors were warped this wouldn't be happening sporadically, but constantly.

The only braking "issue" he should be having is a compression noise when hitting the brakes. Its just the way the system was designed.

The vibrating is something I've neither experienced nor heard of. Probably worth having it checked out.

It is my wife's vehicle and she loved the orange but I wasn't as into it. When she said she liked the new cement and (I like it way better) I figured I'd make the switch.

Does anyone know what TRDP's are getting that display above the air vents on the center console where the US versions only have a clock?
