I wonder how many each of cement, red, and white TRDP was made for 2017? Can't be an equal amount since all I keep seeing on this forum are cements being purchased. Toyota must have skewed it towards cement since they knew it was so popular?

From previous years (2015 and 2016), I thought it was equal amounts of the three colors per year.

In the Bay Area, I've seen 3 whites, 1 quicksand, and 1 cement so far.

I would suspect it is more a case of the diehards on the forum are more interested in the Cement painted Pro's and some of the dealers seem to be taking advantage of that. I can say that when searching for one on Auto Trader, it seemed more of an even mix of available colors.

Waldorf Toyota in Waldorf MD claims to have three TRD Pros available (called me today w this info). Be aware last time I spoke to them they were adding a 'market adjustment' over MSRP, but if you want one now, they've got 'em.

It took 10 months because there were 2 people ahead of me who ordered. One of them is in this forum.

So I ordered/deposited on Oct. 2nd 2016.

Toyota Japan started building the 2017 T4R in late Dec./early Jan. 2017. First guy got his delivered late Feb.

Mine wasn't built until May 26th 2017 and it took about a month and a half to get from Japan/custom/port to my dealer. Hence the 10 months wait..

I received my 17 Cement on the 1-20-17 (Gulf States)and suppose it was 1st one in dealerships in Texas, what truth there is I don't know but I know there were 6 people waiting for me to say no to the deal so they can snatch it up.Build date on mine is 12-16.I received my vin#early January

Just curious, I know the resale value is crazy good on the pro. Does that hold true for all the colors? ie -white, black? Or just the special colors like cement and quicksand etc.. Thanks

If you check the different colors from 15 and 16 the white TRD Pro has a slightly higher trade/resale value than the special colors. Outside of this community in the real world white and silver are the most popular colors for new vehicle and hence is more sought after by dealers. Now if you have a special color and find a guy who wants that color and that color only then you may be able to squeeze a few more bucks out of them, but outside of the enthusiast community white is the most "valuable" color.

The market says silver and white are the most popular colors and to the general public are more sought after. Don't have to take my word for it, go see for yourself on Kelly's blue book. Indemnity crisis? I ordered a 2017 super white cuz that's the color I wanted. I didn't stumble across it on the lot, I ORDERED it. Could of ordered a cement, but I like super white. Sounds to me like someone a little over sensitive on your end.

Chill dude....So now there is a difference between "ORDERING it" by the way is not correct(It's a allocation to the dealer) and waiting months rather then "stumbling across one" That sure is a different angle. Me over sensitive? Not a chance... In my case I wanted a cement 4R pro last fall, but didn't want to wait, so I bought a Taco pro instead. Months later I made the decision to go after a 4R pro. Why risk the whole ordering/allocation BS with a dealer when you can find one already on the slow boat from Japan. That's exactly what I did. With a hell of a lot of leg work on my end. Put a deposit down on one that wasn't even at port yet. In the mean time I was checking online for any Pros the might show up that were closer to home. One did, and I got lucky. Didn't want to start a pissing contest with you, I was just questioning the validity of your claim about used 4R Pro values... Interesting to say the least.:cheers:

Actually it is ordered because when the dealer gets the allocation for a Pro they can go in and change the specifications before it's built, which is what my dealer did and it came exactly how I ordered it. Anything I didn't want she had removed and was able to get the color I wanted. But regardless no one was slamming your cement, a lot of guys like it, and no one was claiming the superiority of super white, just answering the guys question where I gave my source the very first post. For someone who didn't want to get into a pissing match with someone you sure have a funny way of showing that with your original message. I should of known better than to respond to the question with facts because a guy who has a color that he likes is going to disagree based on his emotions without even doing his homework or checking my facts before he decided to run his mouth.

Go get me some solid recent auction numbers/historic numbers showing the selling prices for each color...and how white and silver have higher resale values then the one yr colors. I never disagreed with you based on emotions....It has nothing to do with it. Oh, and I did check KBB numbers for 2016 4R Pro's.... Based on Good Cond, 12,000 miles, std equip. The white's value was a little under $200 more then a Quicksand all being the same. Hardly any difference really... The way you worded your first post and I ran my mouth and got emotional about you made it seem there was a substantial increase in resale value. Negligible really. All colors and all the yr's with the Pro's have great resale value. Who really cares what color we have, I think we can all agree that all us drive an awesome vehicle.
