Curious... what are you trying to elude to in your second statement?
Must be Monday morning as I'm a bit baffled LOL.

I do agree that a bank will see an SR5 as just an SR5 with modifications.
A private buyer may or may not value it any higher. Dealerships (and banks) typically consider any aftermarket as a ding to the car's overall value.

Short version since my long winded reply just disappeared...ugh.

Here is a chart found over at the 2018 TRDP Cement speculation thread;

5th gen numbers.JPG

I was wrong saying "closing in on a million" or whatever. It is 531,033 5th gens through May 2017

It would be amazing (to someone who cares) to see a breakdown of how many of each trim package there are.

Given the generally accepted number of "only 1,500 TRD Pro's are made each year" that means less than 5,000 of these exist, in true form.

At 0.0084740496% being Pro's I would have to say that to the general population, and in my point, the bank's eyes these are rare.

Like Stud poker - straight flush rare (0.0015% - Wikipedia)

If someone does come across the chart with the trim breakdown please post it at it would appropriately fit on this thread.

Also, keep posting those beautiful pictures of the T4R's as they are just so damn sexy.

I would very surprised if only 1500 Pro's are/were made a yr. In 15 wasn't there over 3000 made.....

I did not want to start a new thread.... sooo here we go. Has anyone put the TRD PRO front windshield decal on? If you have, do you have a pic..... and what are everyones thoughts on this minor mod (I will include link)

Here's something interesting - to an insurance company, the TRD Pro shows up as an SR5.

What are YOUR thoughts on those decals? I can't be of any assistance from a quality perspective. However, if YOU like the look, why not go for it? BTW, good call in not starting a new thread.

The windshield sticker isn't really my style, I would never put that on my truck but if you like it then get it!

windshield banner :puke:

Skid plate, why would you pay $20 for that when you can just paint it.

Dealership salesperson I am dealing with says the TRDPRO 4runners come from Japan as regular models to Portland then all the PRO items are added in a warehouse before being shipped to dealers. Some of the items are installed by dealers. I test drove one that had just arrived and the back was full of boxes.

My insurance company (State Farm) has ours listed as a Limited:confused: I wonder does any of this effect your premiums?

That warehouse/dealership must be pretty busy adding the 4WD controls, rear e-locking diff, manual t-case shift lever, interior, suspension, and cosmetic stuff.

They come as a trail to port. They have the manual t-case, elocker and everything else.

Added at port: badges, grill, shift knobs, bilstein shocks, wheels, tires,
The front fenders are trimmed (here's the procedure they use at the port: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3I89BJIddy6RzJKWmlrNXlhVE0/view) to accomodate the 7" TRD wheels with the different backspacing

They don't come from Japan as a TRD pro. The paint and vin number reflect their final package. But the handful of TRD parts are added at the port.

Here I thought that the TRDP came from an SR5 rather than a sunroof-less TE. That makes a bunch more sense.
