4runner TRD Pro

Here I thought that the TRDP came from an SR5 rather than a sunroof-less TE. That makes a bunch more sense.

somebody spelled out the inside scoop much, much earlier in this thread.

check it out! Pretty cool

Picked it up on 3/2 of this year and sitting at 8,100 miles now. It is currently much dirtier than this.

Is all the plastic on your dash a carbon fiber weave? like around the nav, etc? mine is a charcoal color, but I have a 2016.

no that is still the black charcoal color only place this is carbon is center console. Its weird so many different trims paterns/colors.

Can anyone tell me whether the the G2 version on the Nitto's come on the Pro or just the std Terra Grapplers? Reason I ask is they don't list the std Terra Grapplers in the correct size on the Nitto website.

nb rob What a find! That was deep into the thread, thanks for pulling it forward again.

I would very surprised if only 1500 Pro's are/were made a yr. In 15 wasn't there over 3000 made.....

So I called over to Joseph Toyota this afternoon to do the weekly "when's it coming in/ where is it?!" 7 year old kid thing. [arrived in LA on the 26th, slated for plant port processing on the 31st/1st and then rail and truck from Chicago... this is going to be a VERY long two weeks!!!] Anyway I bent the Sales Manager's ear for a bit asking him to dig into the actual number. I think I peaked his curiosity as he asked for two days to look into it, so we will see. He had personally been going with what he was told, that only ~2% of the Port Builds were in the Pro package (this includes ALL Toyota Models Port Trim Builds, and does not include the untouched vehicles) So his delta is way different for attempting to crunch numbers, but it does reinforce the rare factor, in sales manager speak. He started regaling me with stories of the range (distance) of callers requesting the three TRDP rigs they got in this year as soon as they showed up on their inventory sheet.

FWIW, of the three now inbound over the next couple of weeks they are all spoken for, but he is also checking to see if there is a backout list. I will edit this if he calls back with info on colors and list.

Here's something interesting - to an insurance company, the TRD Pro shows up as an SR5.

Waiting on a call back from my agent, an independent, but when we spoke she asked me if it was the TRD Pro package and made a selection as if in their program Pro Package exists... again I will edit when I get that call.

For now I am going to go play with my kids and practice installing everything that is in cardboard boxes that has already arrived!

Retired DL Station Manager. Many years of whining at the gate when the aircraft shut both engines down! UPS mechanics below you too?

Nope... Think some of you guys need to grow some thicker skins! Geez.. Just thought being down in Louisville, etc, and knowing about the whining that pilots do you worked as a A&P... Just a stab in the dark! Sorry you took offense to me light harded comment!!

Im on my third pro. Went from quicksand to red to cement. First two pros showed up as trd pro and now when i got the cement it came up as an sr5 and my insurance went down lol. Anyone else insurance show up as an sr5?
