I trimed the front fender wells and pushed them forward a tad and re mounted them like others have done because they would rub with slight turning. With my demello bumper I dont rub unless going hard wheeling but other than that its all good.

Got my GGlighting light bar and pods in and installed will post up some output shots later as I can't drive anywhere. But they are nice and bright, still need to get some push buttons for switches

Had some unfortunate turn of events. I recently blew out my rear end and drove home by taking my rear driveline off on the trail. Anyway today I pulled my rear diff and boom take a look at all the treasures. Ring was almost completely stripped and pinion was stuck and wouldn't move. I cleaned as much as I could but the housing is a little scratched up will it hurt my new 3rd member? Bought a complete 3rd member from ECGS and am waiting it on it.

I haven't updated this thread in awhile and will be uploading pictures soon as I get the chance But I received my 3rd member from ECGS went smooth I went with the same gear ratio as I had because for 1 I didn't have the cash to upgrade the front and rear and honestly it pulls fine with my others gears and I commute far for school. Was going to buy a lunchbox locker but the guy at ECGS talked me out of it. After I install the 3rd member and button everything up and try to drive I couldn't move. Nothing unless I manually shifted gears 1 to 2 to 3 ext... I take it down to AR transmission down in Fresno CA and get everything checked out. turns out I glazed a clutch pack and blewout a Sprag bearing. Couple thousand dollars later I have a new tranny with 3/year 100,000 mile warranty and everything is as good as new. :frusty: I don't have any pictures of the new tranny but nothing special.
Onto better things I suppose I installed some Built Right UCA's 1'" uniball. It got rid of my clunking problems due to the OEM UCA's hitting my coilovers when they would droop and rest on the coil. They look good and alignment was all in speck. A lot of the guys over at Tacomaworld run them and have great results. They don't squeak yet and clear my coils... all is well the old UBJ were falling apart from it hitting. Not my picture*****
Installed a LC 80 series snorkel. Its very scary drilling through the fender but you hit a point where you say F@*K !T fit is actually very nice
I working on a way to extend my CBI ditch light bracket and have my pod back up there and a way to support the snorkel because I didn't want to use the supplied bracket on my A-frame. A fender is replaceable but A-frame is not. For those that are curious I didn't trim my cladding it sits right on top of it and used a 45 degree pic pipe to connect it. I used some self tappers to seal the holes up on the intake .
Was in on a group buy on Tacoma World for CVT RTT and couldn't resist I went with the extended Mt Bachelor series and am very happy so far. I haven't used it yet besides in the driveway when I got it. The group buy went very smooth and when I called to place my order you could Hear the lines ringing off the hook
In the directions it says I can mount the rails either way but they wouldn't work one way so I drilled new holes and remounted the rails. I brought it up to Bobby and he said to do the same, great customer service from them by the way. Scary drilling into a new 1,XXX tent. I siliconed the holes that were there and so far no leaks and was in pouring rain the other day.
Installed a strip of RGB LED lights on the inside of the tent and at first I had them zip tied but was worried that it would rub at the canvas weird so I ended up electrical tapping them

Went wheeling the other day after work to try and find some snow but it was only rain. I went to Chilkoot, Here is some photos from that day and then we went the next day with a few other buddies. In the summer time the hole lake is pretty full Here are some photos in the summer to kinda get a feel for the landscape and how dry it actually is.

The past few years a huge group of us go to mammoth for a few days to camp and have fun its kinda our big Summer trip and we all plan on doing it for many years to come Here is some pictures heading out there and our camping spots/ day trips to places. This was before I had the tent and snorkel In July. I have so many pictures from this trip but ill spare you.
This was 20 steps outside the campsite as was an old pickup looks like someone sent it off the hill.
Also an edited shot of the sunset on the mountains.
And a disclamer Some of the best views I've ever had while poopin in the woods :wow:

Recently I drove down to Long Beach Ca to pick up a Grom. Now I know what some of you may be thinking its not a "mans" bike but I have great fun on this thing and ride it all the time in my little town of Oakhurst. Sorry its not all about my 4runner but its all part of the process. Runner did great no problems at all.
Grom was pretty much stock when I got it but installed a Yoshimura Exhaust and levers, Fender delete and look forward to modding it a little more... Bars and such.
Also BAMF sliders w/kickout are ordered couldn't pass up the discount and had them on my last 4runner and were solid and for the price id be dumb to not do it. :flypig:

Do you have a write up on the snorkel install going to be doing mine in a week but worried about screwing it up. Also how much did you pay for the built right UCAs. Trying to figure out UCAs before my upgraded suspension comes in.

I didn't have a write up handy but I read this thread over about 10 to 15 times. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-g...-snorkel-confirms-snorkel-4th-gen-coming.html It helped me out a lot and Built rights were on sale for about 550 if I remember correctly, through a truck shop down in San Diego.
But for the snorkel these are some pics I took before install
I lined it up with he air intake and hole in fender. I did could out some fender so the tube would fit. Also how I piped it I went to True Value and got a 45 degree bend for septic and it fit pretty damn good haven't painted it black yet though.

Offroad wise I had the TRD Offroad edition on my 3rd gen so it definitely did better because of the Elocker but I've done everything in my 4th gen that I did in my 3rd gen (with few exceptions) just fine. Some things are a little trickier without a locker. But I love everything else about the 4th gen. The motor, more space. and nicer interior.

What is your current suspension setup allowing you to fit 35's?

sweet truck and that trip/group of friends out to the lake looks really fun!
im jealous of the yosemite area/offroading/land you have out there...but at heart im a beach guy/surfer and have a house 10 mins from my breaks and 2.5 hrs to the white mtns for snowboarding and camping so i regret not going west only somewhat now hah

Love your build. Sold my 3rd gen and I just picked up a silver 2007 myself. I think you’ve just about got me sold on a three hoop bumper from Demello. Can’t wait to see where you go with your build!
