4Runners - a - plenty!

Was driving down 167 today (from Kirkland towards Auburn) and saw TWO tractor trailer loads of brand new 4Runners heading NOrthbound (probably being shipped up from Portland).

There were two Heritage edition units on one of the trailers. The orange and yellow stripe is hard to miss.

The rail yard in Auburn is also getting pretty full of vehicles - lots of trucks.

I live on top of the Tualatin Mountains, aka "The West Hills", just northwest of Toyota's port facility on the Willamette River in Portland. I see the port facility several days a week as I descend NW Germantown Rd to Hwy 30. During the period of 18 to about 6 months ago, those massive lots were mostly empty, and the frequency of the transport ships was noticeably less. But over the last 6 months, the lots have been steadily filling up, and the ship traffic has increased. I'd say at this point, the lots are about 80% full day in and out. Constant rail cars in the yard as well being loaded nowadays.

Back in February, we bought a '22 TRD Off Road to add to our 2010 Trail in the garage. The '22 was as hard to get as the Trail model was back in 2010. I'd bet that that is not so much the case anymore. Not saying they're fallin' off trees, but I'd bet the wait times are shorter based on what I see. Seems they're getting a grip on the supply chain problems...

I'm not up on the latest lingo. I know what "Raptor Lights" refers to. But what are the "viper cut" and "widdle waders".

Help a GenX'er out here.

Viper cut is when people cut the front bumper. It's really popular for social media like raptor lights.

Oh hey, I work right down the street from those rail yards! My office is just across the tracks from Emerald Downs.

I have a "widdle wadder." I didn't want it but it came with the only rack I liked. I planned on selling it but I have two small kids who wanted me to keep it. They have so much fun climbing up the ladder and hanging out on the roof on camping trips. When they get too old for it, I'll get rid of it. I have no other mods and don't use any social media. It's just for the kids. As silly as it looks, it still looks way less ridiculous than a Limited.
